Friendly and welcoming visit to a family run business. The production process, tasting, viewing the barrels used and topped off with tasters complimented by the balsamic vinegar. Amazing experience that’s well worth the visit. Vignola is a pretty, rustic town to visit too.

What a great tour! You get to visit a home where the family has been making Balsamic vinegar for over 100 years. After a short presentation we sat in the lovely garden under an ancient grapevine and had some food to try with the Balsamic. We then went to see where all of the casks are kept which is where the magic happens. Afterward, if you want to buy anything you can get it on site or shipped to you. Ours was at our door when we arrived home from our trip. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Such a wonderful tour - we had a lovely morning with Giovanna who showed us around and shared her family’s history with us. Giovanna made us feel very welcome and even prepared the most wonderful plates of food to showcase the family’s balsamic products.

Learned a lot about balsamic vinegar making in this intimate tour and at Azienda Agricola La Ca Dal Non. The family members who took us around were spectacularly helpful especially when we had a little hiccup with transportation issues! I would recommend this tour even though it is off the beaten path.

I went with my daughter (21) and her friend (20). It was incredible meeting Giovanna and her daughter Mariangela who are the owners of this family-run, small-batch organic balsamic vinegary. Learning about the heritage and process and seeing all the phases was really special. And tasting all the varieties was amazing. They also prepared tasty treats using the various aged vinegars which were delicious. T told Mariangela ahead of time that we had a one person with a milk allergy and one person who was vegetarian and she accommodated everyone! It was good to be able to purchase (no pressure) and have their US importer ship to our home in the USA. I will also say that there wasn't much walking around, so good for those with limited mobility, although there were stairs involved to see the barrels (but that was only part of the tour) . Exceeded expectations! Would recommend to everyone!

This was an amazing experience! Giovanna was led us through her beautiful gardens and acetaia. It was special to be at her home rather than a factory style setting. We had the opportunity to taste many ages and variations of balsamic vinegar. She taught us all about how it is made and the types of barrels and aging process. We were able to purchase and send home from her New York connection. Wonderful!

We were welcomed even though I had made a mistake when making our reservation. Our host and the owner greeted us with surprise upon our unexpected arrival and graciously lead us on informative tour of the family history and current operation of their vinegar production process. I felt that we could not have found a more authentic experience and truly delicious tasting! We purchased some vinegars and will be enjoying our bit of Modena soon with the recipes that came with the gift pack. Prego!
