Photos and historical documents, tools, machinery and films tell the story of the production process of the prized products of Parma's charcuterie art on a journey from ancient pork butchery to the methods of today's production: from pig breeds to the fundamental importance of salt, from the methods of the ancient production art to the delicacies of gastronomy and the role of the Parma Ham Consortium in safeguarding quality and the unique pleasure of tasting.
By selecting the private tour option, it will be possible to be accompanied as individuals, families or small groups by the qualified staff of the Parma Ham Museum for a visit lasting about 45 minutes.
