Gallerie Degli Uffizi
The Uffizi Palace was commissioned by Cosimo I de' Medici and designed by Vasari (16th Century). It has a unusual U shape, which is closed towards the Arno. The two wings of the palace are connected by a corridor with six big arched windows, facing the Arno and the inner courtyard. Nowadays the building hosts the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most visited museums in the world, collecting masterpieces from the 13th to the 18th Century.
The very beginning of the Uffizi Gallery was the collection of Francesco I de' Medici; The collection became “public and inalienable good” thanks to Duchess Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici whose will it was that it would be open to the public forever. Today, the Uffizi Gallery is one of the most important museums in the world, with new acquisitions and gifts.
Using the elevator at the entrance of the museum is reserved for people who have special needs – including temporary – and the maximum capacity is 6 persons at a time.

The day before we were to take this tour, I received an email cancelling us. The tickets had been reserved and paid for well in advance and since this is a very popular attraction, this cancellation left us scrambling to get into the museum. I spent an hour trying to find alternative tickets for the only day we had for this activity with no luck. We had to change other plans and arrive at the museum when it opened to try our luck. I have never had an activity cancelled the day before and it makes me wonder about such an unprofessional action. My advice would be to steer away from this company - there are far more reputable operations to use.

Tickets were issued for the incorrect time. I booked for 11am and received a confirmation well in advance of my trip. The actual tickets were emailed to me the morning of my visit, but they were for 1pm. I didn’t even notice the error until I was in line and couldn’t get in until the time on my ticket.

DO NOT BOOK…Our tour was cancelled less than 24 hours before we were supposed to go. We booked and paid for these tickets in March 2023! Now we can not get tickets because they are sold out. Also, have not yet received a refund, which I understand could take 4 days. Not happy.

The extensive art collection housed here is worth your time. The museum is huge and it’s easy to spend hrs browsing.

This is not actual tickets. You are paying for the tour operator to source the tickets, and they wait until 2 days before to buy them for you. If they are not available they will cancel your purchase. By that time all tickets for the days of our visit were sold out.

We loved the museum not to many people we were able to see everything within two hours, only one problem I had booked this one month prior the time was confirmed for 2 pm and at the very last minute the time was changed to 4:30 pm, the museum closes at 6:30 pm. So I was not impressed we felt that we needed to hurry up in order to visit everything,

Tldr; Museum great, agency not.
We booked a slot at 9.30 am which was confirmed a few days later. We had thus made arrangements later that day, but a day before the visit, we received an email supposedly with a link to our tickets. The link led to an empty pdf and so we contacted the agency who asked us to send them an email to which they replied with the tickets. However, in the evening, i.e. the evening before we expected to visit the museum at 9.30 am, we had a closer look at the tickets. On the tickets, our entry was supposed to be at 1.30 pm, 4 hours later than expected. As soon as we discovered this, we tried to contact the agency, who did not reply until around 10 am the morning after. Their reply was on the lines of that it was not possible for us to enter at 9.30 am despite having had a confirmation email from TripAdvisor/Viator, and that our slot was at 1.30 pm. Luckily for us, we had already gone to the museum who were so kind to grant us an early entry. The museum itself is amazing, but please do yourself a favour and choose another agency.

They say that it’s early entry but then they give you a random time throughout the day that you can’t pick. Poor communication and non refundable. Terrible experience

The gallery is fantastic and so many people abuse our desire to see it.The booking was a terrible experience. You pay non-refundable,then it is only pending, then you got approved or not.The tickets you have to collect just before your visit and the location mentioned in the confirmation email is like 2 miles away.Anyway, you end up on another queue to collect the tickets, being checked and giuded by two officials, while only one is serving the queue. The ticket then qualifies you to go and join another queue to enter the museum. At the same time.no queue in front of the official ticket office.Again,5-6-8 officials guiding you to enter,as if it is not obvious ,just to end up going through two metal detectors.Very poor experience as you do not get straight away an electronic ticket to allow you easy access to the museum, but end up in a long and confusing process of passing from one person to another.Terrible way to create jobs.

If you are thinking of visiting the Uffizi then this is a must as it shaves a lot of time off queuing and getting into the gallery! Make sure to print off your ticket (sent as a PDF to your email not the one on the app) before hand though as this will make the process much smoother when you go to get your tickets. Also the place to queue to get in was not clearly marked so ask when you get your ticket!
