I have to say that my favorite part of this spectacular tour was meeting Sella at Monte Chiaro winery in Monteriggioni. Not only are the wines here outstanding but her love of wine, and regional foods are unmatched. She brings the wines to life with her presentation skills and we were sad to leave her. Sella says that "wine is food" and full of vitamins and nutrients. So, she has confirmed for me that wine for breakfast is a perfectly good way to start the day!

This was a GREAT tour! Niccolo is an excellent guide and really cares about his guests and wants them to have the best experience. He talked to us about the region, history and scenery the entire ride. The van was comfortable and the wineries he chose were edited in a great way: female owned, historic with tombs from 6 Century BC and agritourismo. Could not have been better!

Such a fun and memorable day sampling wines from across the Tuscan region! We ended up having a private tour and Nicco (our guide and driver for the day) was awesome and very knowledgeable about Tuscan wines. The wineries themselves were beautiful and very generous with the tastings - I think we drank 12-15 or so glasses throughout the day, but the tastings were spaced out and there was plenty of food at the second winery where you eat lunch (just make sure you eat breakfast beforehand if you’re planning on tasting everything!) We especially enjoyed the first winery that we went to, which was a small boutique family winery in the Chianti region (don’t skip the Vin Santo dessert wine at the end of the tasting). We also really enjoyed the visit to San Gimignano and ended up adding another quick stop in Monteriggioni because we finished our first tasting a bit early. Would definitely recommend this tour for couples or small groups, especially those who are new to Tuscan wine and looking to take the guesswork out of choosing from the many wineries in the region.
Great tour with a friendly guide. Perfect for a first experience in the Tuscany wine region. It is quite expensive but that’s how you keep it private (for the happy few 😉)
