We will become coffee experts, in a local bar where the "Cornetti" are homemade with love by the 70 years old "nonna" Exploring the biggest local market in Italy as real Romans do, we will discover from the vendors of the stalls, secrets and traditions of these families, tasting the best mozzarella, prosciutto, aged cheeses and "suppli", fried at the moment just for us. You will create your own bruschetta, meeting the "Poets of Tomatoes", and during a gourmet stop we will have some Truffles products, directly from a truffle hunter. After the tasting of an organic olive oil , awarded as the best in the world in 2018

we will spot a chruncy pizza in the oldest bakery of the area, opened in 1915 We will than have, an exclusive acces, inside the first pasta shop opened in Rome,discovering their amazing pasta. After a stop with local wine in an Apulian street food shop, it will be the time for some sweetness: a creamy Tiramisu, in a special chocolate cup and an amazing real gelato in a tiny hidden place, elected by the Pope, as his favourite gelato place :)

The best fun we had in Italy! As professional food tour guides ourselves, we have pretty high standards when we chose a food tour to attend. This one ticked all the right boxes. The guide, Chiara was charming, knowledgeable and endlessly patient whilst we sampled everything we could in the market. The food we tried was absolutely the best food we ate in Italy and every single place we went had no other tourists there. We were able to go inside a pasta making business and see how they make it .. we even got to have a taste of the pasta immediately after it was made! The wine, the mozzarella, pizza, gelato and the endless bites in the market are just the right amount to eat to skip lunch but not need to go back to your hotel and loose the day by sleeping! Just book it, take an open mind and an empty shopping bag and enjoy it.

Chiara was our amazing tour guide. What a knowledgeable, interesting and fun tour she gave and such a lovely person. The food was exceptional and included a variety of Roman experiences! Be sure to come hungry, because we ate and tried so many different foods. You will not only enjoy the great food, but all the great stories and information about this beautiful neighborhood. So many local places with rich history that you would normally miss/walk by. This was our second tour with Chiara and she opened our eyes to the beauty and history of Roman architecture, traditions and local food. Don’t miss this tour! We hope to be back and take additional tours with Roma Eats and Chiara! =)

We did this tour on our honeymoon 5 years ago and have since travelled the world extensively doing tours and activities of all kinds but this tour with Roma Eats is still the most memorable experience we’ve ever had. We’ve just spent the last hour talking to friends and family about this experience over Easter breakfast, longing for the opportunity to get back to Rome and do it all again. Beautiful people, beautiful food, beautiful views, incredible knowledge of the area, the team could answer every question we had. We all got along so well, we ended up having cocktails at a roof top bar into the evening. This tour is incredibly good value. We’ve not found anything like this anywhere else in the world.

A lovely experience that is not to be missed! Manuela, our guide, is super friendly and knowledgeable and she made our night in Rome worthwhile. She explained to us some Roman traditions as we walked in the streets, that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. Also, the food was amazing to say the least!

We have been on many different food tours in rome and this by far has been the best. our guide kiara was fantastic, very knowledgeable and also is an archaeologist so this was a bonus. The food stops were all fantastic and we were so full after the tour ended. Coffee, pasta, pastries, sweets, ice cream. The next time we visit Rome we are going to do the twilight tour with this company. Kiara gave us a lovely shopping bag with maps, names of restaurants and water for our 4 hour tour.
