The company rescheduled our tour with a different chef but failed to inform us of the change until after the class had started and we showed up at the first chefs home. The company did not answer our call when the chef informed us they were unable to teach that day. This company would not refund our money. Save your time and money and book with a private chef in which ever area you are traveling. Do not use this company unless you like throwing money away. They tried to say we didn’t cancel before 24 hours-however we showed up to a class that was cancelled. Still got charged. No response by phone or email about our complaints. I have never had such terrible customer service from a tour company. And we have used a lot.

It was a highlight of my time in Italy. Learning the art of making pasta and the right way to make tiramisu and bruschetta. Barbara was excellent. Their cooking school in the winery by the Mediterranean Sea in a UNESCO area was awe inspiring and beautiful.

Awesome time with friends and new friends. Barbara and Stefano were the best mists and the location could not be beat. Unforgettable!

Barbara is an incredible teacher, I thought I knew how to make pasta already, but I learned a ton in this class. She gives a great explanation of how every aspect of what she’s teaching is unique it it’s place of origin, and how different parts of each recipe can also be used for different things. She and Stefano were great hosts! It goes without saying that everything we ate was absolutely amazing, this was a highlight of our trip.

Never made it to the class, so I cannot comment on that. I was provided coordinates instead of an address, just fyi you will need the Google app to get to the address, just having the Google map app will not work, you must have the Google app installed on your phone. I was contacted by the host and given the option to walk on the car route (faster option but no walking path available) or to walk on the walking path/stairs option. The distance on the car path was 4.5km and up the stairs route was 2.5km so we opted for the stairs. No bus/shuttle route was suggested by the host. If you have any problems walking over 1.5 miles uphill, please do not register for this course. You need to be able to mobilize and walk to get there. I am sure the class was wonderful, but since we opted for the stairs and they were at an almost 90 degree angle from sea level, you can imagine we were exhausted after the 2.5km treck. Once we reached the destination after an hour we were told there was a shuttle that stopped 800m away. That would have been nice to know in advance. Maybe it’s a way to ensure not everyone that books the course makes it to the class? There are no refunds, so if you don’t make it there in time the host and Viator are at an advantage financially. I definitely would not recommend booking this class. Please consider an alternative option, such as the wine tasting and pesto making course available at a local winery at more than half the price.

Barbara and Stefano created a wonderful, magical evening! Both were welcoming and made sure everyone was included. They shared family recipes and stories, which made it more like an evening with friends than a cooking class. Making pasta is definitely a skill and I am grateful for Barbara's expert guidance.

Anna and Julia were amazing! It was such a beautiful setting. A great way to personalize your trip to Italy. It was not clear though in where we were to meet. The website said Riomaggiore but it was really in La Spezia. You can take the train but it is a distance. One there it is a 25 euro cab ride there. Also another 25Euro cab ride back. It was worth the experience but prior knowledge would have been helpful.

Our class with Barbara and Stefano was one of our favorite experiences on our trip. We made pesto and gnocchi, and we can’t wait to try the recipes at home. The scenery at their place makes for a stunning backdrop during the class. If you’re thinking of booking this class, do it.

Barbara and Stefano were truely incredible hosts! They made us feel so welcome, like we were in our own home with family. They gave us so many great tips and recipes to cherish forever. We can’t wait to get back home and share owl knowledge with our family and friends. Our hearts and stomachs were very full after this experience. I can’t recommend this enough! Thank you!

My mother and I had a lovely evening with Luca and his other guests in his home. A beautiful spot with lovely views where we got to gather around his table and make pasta, pesto and tiramisu all by hand. He was lovely, welcoming and full of information and pasta know-how. Would highly recommend. It was a lovely way to spend a stormy evening.
