My daughter and I went last night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will be enjoying the leftovers for the next couple of days and looking forward to practicing what we learned when we return home.

Enza was our amazing host and we miss her already! She was fun, inviting and made our experience one we will never forget! We had no idea that this was about to turn into the highlight of our trip! As a tourist we were honored to be able to visit a home in one of the historic and beautiful buildings in Siena! We had so much fun making, eating and preparing our meal from scratch. It was delicious! Thank you to all that made this possible and Thank you Beautiful Enza!!

This experience was a dream come true! Barbara welcomed us into her gorgeous, historic home for a wonderful night where we were lucky enough to learn about Italian cooking traditions and to enjoy a beautiful, delicious dinner with the best of friends. I can’t imagine a better way to experience the local charm and culture of the Siena region. This was the highlight of our visit and Barbara was the perfect host!

This was an amazing night!! We had so much fun with Enza - she is a wonderful teacher and can tell how passionate she is about good food & Italian cooking. We made so much delicious pasta & tiramisu - took most of it home with us! There was also Prosecco, wine and lots of laughing. We had such a fabulous time!

Our experience could have easily been rated EXCELLENT however, it began as a total disaster. Either Viator or the Cesarine organization dropped the ball, totally. When we received the confirmation email, we were given the rendezvous location which was only the name of a street in a suburb of Siena about 10-12 miles outside of downtown Siena, where we were staying. I emailed the Cesarine organization, telling them that this location seemed very vague and far away. They replied that there would be someone there to meet us. Naively, we took a taxi- 20 euros- to the place we were to meet the teacher. We were early so we paid the taxi driver and he left. There were a few houses around so we figured the teacher would appear shortly. The teacher, Barbara Rossi, never showed. I called Filipo at the Cesarine agency to explain our dilemma. After a few minutes, he called back saying that Barbara was sick. We should have been notified of this early that morning before we started off. Totally irresponsible!! Filipo offered us the same class, BACK IN SIENA, for half price. At this point, a kind lady came out of her house to see what was going on. Even though her English was only slightly better than our terrible Italian, I’m sure she could tell there was a problem by the tone and volume of the phone conversation. She called a taxi for us and 20 more euros later, we were back in Siena about 6 blocks from our hotel at the home of our new teacher. Her name is Enza Pascaretta. For all of the morning’s disaster, Enza made our experience an absolute delight. All of our experiences with Viator have been very good but this time they need to have a conversation with this agency about the irresponsible actions, or in this case, the inaction of this contractee. Enza saved the day for us and for that, we are extremely grateful. I hope someone at Viator actually reads these reviews.

Cooking Italian pasta and making Tiramisu with Barbara was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She kindly welcomed us to her beautiful home and made us feel comfortable right away, gave us interesting information about the place and found a great way of introducing us to the Italian cuisine. Not only did we learn to make three delicious meals but Barbara made us feel so welcome, appreciated and cared for. We felt like cooks and guests at the same time. It was a delightful day all around and the highlight of our vacation in Italy! We would come back for this amazing experience - thank you for having us, Barbara!!
