We had a great time in this class. The chef, Irene, was friendly and informative. She made us fell like part of the family. And the tagliatelle and ragu that we made was better than what we had been served at restaurants. One warning - if you are allergic to cats this may not be for you.

Great time cooking A bit crowded as it was in an apartment but lots of fun. Made 2 types of pasta and ragù.

The home is not suitable for guests to be cooking in her home. We shared a family bathroom to wash our hands and it was not appropriate for guests, it did not feel sanitary nor did the kitchen. The wine offered was cheap and tasted like vinegar and the food was not good, pasta was tough and did not have a lot of flavor. Loud music was being blasted by her son and did not make for a nice cooking experience. We were disappointed that the 4 cooking classes that we booked through Viator were all cancelled over a week period and I had to scramble to find other classes and then this one was suggested to us by Viator and we wanted to do a cooking class while we were there so we decided to do it but it didn't have any reviews. The host was nice and I feel bad submitting a negative review but I want to be honest about the very disappointing experience. Viator needs to properly interview and vet its hosts before posting cooking classes and they also should be liable for cancelling us from all of the classes I had booked. Ironically friends we met on our trip had the same bad experience with the same host. I would not recommend booking through Viator/Trip Advisor after this terrible experience. They obviously are not paying their hosts enough because the quality of this cooking class was BAD.

The tour and cooking experience in Bologna has been one of my highlights during our holiday in Italy. Antonio was fantastic; was more than just a food tour, they were so informative about the city. Afterwards the cooking experience I enjoyed so much. We got to eat our creations with a lovely bottle of wine. Even dessert too!
