Laura the guide was excellent and very entertaining . Well organised and knowledgeable . Pompeii is awesome, very big site with lots to see very hot so take plenty of fluid and a hat!

We were recommended to use this company for a trip to Pompeii by our hotel. The cost was €69 per person and for that you get collected from the hotel at about 0745 in an air conditioned bus, collect a few others and move on to Pompeii. Our tour guide was Tonya - she was very knowledgeable and knew what she was talking about. You get an audio device and ear piece so you can hear what she is saying. The tour itself is only about 2 hours, to be honest the site is massive and Tonya takes you to the highlights - it is just right. You can buy bottled water on the bus, there are also coffee spots and toilets at the excavation site. The bus drops you back your hotel by 1400 - perfect because its starting to get busy with the other tourists.. Recommended.

Picked up/dropped off from our hotel in an air conditioned coach. Bus journey very smooth and we were kept entertained by our guide Cynthia, who was both amusing and informative. At Pompei, there was a quick comfort break then split into 2 groups and quickly in to the site itself. We went with Luigi, who was also an excellent guide. You get a radio and ear piece so no matter how far you are from the guide you hear everything clearly. It was incredibly hot so I recommend lots of sunscreen, a hat and plenty of water. Also comfortable walking shoes. In half a day you can't see everything, but you get the highlights. We would make a return visit on a cooler day and stay longer. Overall a very interesting and enjoyable visit.

Only 2 hours actually at Pompeii and it was so crowded and busy with rude people. The tour guide should have set meeting points so that he didn’t have to spend time rounding everyone up. Tour was not worth the price.

Lovely friendly guide. It is a 4 hour tour including travel! We went on a great day as it was quiet around Pompeii if it was busier we wouldn’t have got to see as much as we did.

We booked this tour directly with our hotel in Sorrento. It was for a half-day tour at Pompeii, with pick up and drop off at the doors of our hotel. The pamphlet for the tour advertised it as a “2-hour guided visit in the excavations”. We went on the tour yesterday morning. While most of the aspects were fine, the tour ended up being a huge let down. We knew Pompeii is big. We knew 2 hours were not enough to see everything. Still, one would (quite reasonably in my view) expect that it was a 2-hour visit of the most worth-seeing parts of Pompeii. Instead, after the 2-hour visit with the guide at Pompeii, we found ourselves heading to the exit without having seen the Lupanar (i.e. the Brothel). We knew very little about the specific attractions in Pompeii beforehand. But we knew the Lupanar was the one must-see attraction because our colosseum guide in Rome (who was great) told us about it. After asking our guide in Pompeii (whom I shall not name here) about the Lupanar, he said that indeed we passed it at one point during the tour. He did not bring us there “because there was a long line”. Only after further research after the tour did I realize that there were other key attractions of Pompeii which we did not visit. The Garden of Fugitives with the 13 bodies, Villa of Mystery, House of the Faun, House of the Vettii, House of Venus, the Amphitheatre. Those are some of the other main attractions that we did not get to see on the tour. I understand we will not see all the attractions in Pompeii within 2 hours. But I cannot help feeling that some rather odd choices were made regarding the sites we visited during the tour. To be fair, we did see some key sites like the forum, theatres and Stabian Bath. But there were also time spent on some less time-worthy stops, like the hot food stalls, the bakery, the sole house we saw (which certainly seemed much less interesting than say the Villa of Mystery or House of the Vettii). The guide confirmed that the Lupanar was right next to one of the sites we visited but he chose not to bring us there simply because the line to the Lupanar was long. That logic baffles me since the long lines were an indication of the popularity of the attraction. It seems that our guide was concerned with bringing us to the less crowded sites rather than the actually popular sites that everyone wants to see. In summary, I cannot recommend this tour to anyone who actually wants to see the popular sites. If you decide to go on this tour, I suggest doing research beforehand to know what sites are must-see so you can keep tabs on the way. Otherwise, you may end up admiring the best parts of Pompeii on google on your phone on the way back to the hotel as I did.
