We had the most amazing guided tour with Olga of the Uffizi Gallery. We would have happily listened for longer and we learnt so much. Olga's knowledge and passion about art and history was obvious and it was the most enjoyable tour we had in Florence.

Our guide, Manuela Corsi, made the experience of the Uffizi fascinating and engaging, rather than overwhelming which it would have been without her guided tour. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made even those who knew very little about the art and artists, appreciate what we were seeing and understanding the story behind the artwork.

Primero, habíamos reservado (y pagado!) el tour a las 11:00, pero la chica nos contactó para ver si podríamos hacerlo a las 10:00. Por hacer el favor lo aceptamos, aunque le dijimos que nos venía mal (estaba claro que algo pasaba dada la insistencia con lo que preferimos no ponernos pesados) Después, la chica apareció a las 10:30, diciendo que "había tenido un problema" en la oficina - cuando nos dijo de estar 15 minutos antes de la hora, i.e. a las 9:45. Así que más de media hora esperando Cuando por fin llegó, todo fue un desastre. A varias personas no les encontró la reserva, con lo que no pudieron entrar en el museo a pesar de haber pagado el tour, y estuvimos otros 20 minutos esperando a que terminara de discutir con ellos. Y como colofón - a nosotros (éramos 4) nos mandaron con una guía en inglés, cuando nosotros habíamos reservado el tour en español. Y la guía (que era italiana) resultó tener un inglés completamente ininteligible (y he vivido en USA y trabajo en UK, y a ésta no había quien la entendiera!). Fuimos a la entrada de grupos, y estuvimos otros 20 minutos más esperando bajo la lluvia (seguramente esto no fue su culpa, ya que la organización en los museos de Florencia es verdaderamente lamentable). Pero lo que sí hizo es estar en torno a una hora con nosotros, nada de las ~2 horas que anunciaban. Aunque casi mejor así porque como digo le entendíamos un ~15% de lo que decía (que además era bastante irrelevante). En fin, todo un desastre. No sé si es Viator en general (creo que no), o ItalyPass Tours en particular (seguramente sí), pero mi recomendación es comprar las entradas en las web oficiales y dejarse de experimentos. De hecho las audioguías que alquilan no están tan mal ;-)
