Don Nunzio Food Gastronomic Tour isn't just a typical food tour; what sets this tour apart is its focus on boutique, family-owned operations away form the tourist areas, providing a genuine experience. Our day began with the most delightful cappuccino I've ever tasted! This set the tone for the day, and I knew I was in for a memorable experience! We saw the art of fresh mozzarella cheese being made. The skill that went into crafting this amazing cheese was evident, a must try!!! Watching fresh pasta being made was fascinating. From the dies to make the various shapes to the drying process. We had a behind-the-scenes look at the olive oil-making process. The steps involved in producing this liquid gold was fascinating. We tasted a variety of olive oils, each with its own distinct character. Of course, a food tour in Italy wouldn't be complete without learning the art of crafting a pizza from scratch. We got our hands doughy and created our own pizzas, which was a boatload of fun! Not only did we get to make our own pizzas, but we were treated to one of the best tiramisus I've ever tasted; and of course what would a meal be without Wine, Limoncello and a fantastic view! Don Nunzio Food Gastronomic Tour is a unique, authentic, and unforgettable experience. Be prepared to pace yourself, as the feast is non-stop! This tour isn't just amazing; it's a genuine slice of Italy; a truly Memorable experience for all! A Toast to Nunzio and our Hosts for a fantastic tour!

We took a family vacation to Italy and we're lucky enough to get connect with Nunzio from a family friend. Nunzio was amazing - his gastronomic tour was our vacation highlight. Wonderful stops, amazing food and experiences that adults and teens alike enjoyed! Even our picky eaters were thrilled with our stops! Thank you Nunzio- until next time!!

My family and I were picked up by Nunzio in a beautiful and comfortable Mercedes Benz van from Rome and driven to Pompeii for a great tour and then on to Naples where Nunzio took us to a traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria before bringing us to Sorrento. The next day Nunzio picked our family up and we began an awesome food tour where we visited a family owned olive oil establishment. We were able to sample many of their delicious olive oils. We then left to visit a mozzarella cheese making store where we saw how mozzarella was made and had a few great samples of meats and cheeses with a bottle of wine. Nunzio then took us to a pasta factory in Gragnano, the pasta capital of Europe, to see how pasta is made and then on to a cooking school where we each made our own pizza. We then had the pleasure of sampling some delicious gelato along the coast of the Mediterranean. Nunzio also took us to his favorite coffee shop during the tour to try some traditional Italian coffees. The tour was fantastic and delicious. My family and I had an incredible experience. I highly recommend this for anyone.

My husband and I spent spent 4 nights in the Sorrento/Amalfi Coast area and Nunzio gave us the most amazing experience we could’ve asked for. Nunzio genuinely loves what he does and where he’s from and it shows. Spending the weekend with him felt more like spending it with a friend than a driver or a tour guide. We enjoyed his company so much, on top of all of the knowledge and excellent recommendations he gave us. He never makes you feel rushed or pressured to do anything. He picked us up from the Naples train station and gave us a small tour of the city before we stopped for the most delicious non-touristy pizza which we never would have found without him. Then we stopped for pastries and espresso before he took us to our hotel in Sorrento. We spent the next day exploring the Amalfi coast. We started the day with an olive oil tasting at Gargiulo which was absolutely delicious. Then we spent time in Positano where we had an incredible lunch overlooking the mountain at a family run restaurant. He told us we had to try the fresh squeezed juice from a stand off the side of the road and he was 100% right - it’s a must try! The juice is so fresh and rich in flavor and the man that owns it makes you feel so special. Then we spent time exploring Ravello. He even took us Scala, a small town that is the sister town of Brooklyn, and showed us their 9/11 memorial because he knew we were from New York. The next day Nunzio set us up with the best guide, Paolo, at Pompeii and told us all about its history while we drove there. It was such a surreal experience. It started pouring during our tour and Nunzio went home to get us towels for when we were done, just so we could dry off. Then he took us to a cafe that makes the best espresso I’ve ever had in my life. This is an example of his top notch, above and beyond service. Our last day he picked us up from our hotel and we got cappuccinos and pastries before he dropped us off at the train station. He even made a surprise stop to pick up my best friend so that we could see each other before he brought her from Naples to the Amalfi Coast. If you’re planning on visiting the Naples/Pompeii/Amalfi Coast area, do yourself a favor and book Nunzio. His experience is evident because he has such quality recommendations and people that he works with. He made us feel so at home during our trip. It felt like we made a life long friend. Whenever we make our way back, he will be our first phone call.

Nothing beats a homegrown local giving you a tour of many of the best spots along the Amalfi Coast. DonNunzio picks you up in his 7 seater limo Van that’s equipped with spacious seating and central air. Along the way Nunzio describes each sight seeing location as he drives you along the coast to start your tour. We stopped at a local Olive Oil farm in Gargano called Gargiulo , where we were informed from start to finish how Olive Oil was made many many decades ago to current day. We were presented with an Olive Oil tasting after our tour that will literally knock your socks off (try the White Truffle infused olive oil) it’s to die for. We then were taken on a Mozzarella making tour in Gargano ; where you saw a local family owned Mozzarella Store called Fior Di Bufala turn cheese and create it fresh on the spot. We were able to taste 4 different types of cheeses accompanied by a glass of homemade wine which was absolutely delicious. The best thing about it is that it’s been around for generations and we were able to meet three generations from grandfather to grandson. It was very special. Nunzio then escorts you throughout town and talks about different various important details of the city. Gargano the town where pasta originates from; one of the coolest pieces of information is that many many years ago pasta was hung up to dry from windowsills as those around town made them for themselves and others. And of course a pasta tour in the most famous town for pasta is on the list. You’ll be able to see production of the locally made pasta at D’Aniellos and with a short walk thereafter you’ll be accompanied by Nunzio to your very own pizza making class. Our instructors were funny and guided us throughout the experience. You’ll be able to eat your creation afterwards. And don’t worry if you can’t spin your dough the experience alone allows you to create any shape you’d like. Our tour ended with a delicious Tiramisu iced Cappuccino from L’università del Caffe and one word to call this dessert is delicious. Allow yourself to come ready to eat and explore the off the beaten path places in Amalfi. Take all the pictures and learn fun facts along the way. Already planning my next visit with Nunzio. Happy eating 🇮🇹

This is by far the best food tour I’ve ever been to. DonNunzio knows what he’s doing and you can tell he is very passionate about it. Would book again 100%. First of all, DonNunzio picks you up in a luxury Limo van equipped with A/C or heat with more than enough room for our family of 4. While driving to destinations, DonNunzio will stop and show you sites and overlooks that you wouldn’t see if you were traveling solo as DonNunzio is a local. Whole touring, we were brought to an olive farm, shown how olive oil is made and also got to try infused olive oils as well as limoncello. Other stops included a tour of a pasta factory in the birthplace of pasta, pizza making class, tasting and learning about fresh mozzarella and more. The tour is authentic as all the spots we stopped at were locations off the beaten path and were locations locals stopped at for their own gourmet home needs. We even got to try a creative Tiramisu ice cappuccino that was to die for! Tips for this tour are simple - Come wearing an elastic waistband style pants, an empty stomach and fresh camera roll. THANK YOU DON NUNZIO!
