We also spent hours in the Uffizi Gallery (museum) where we saw famous pieces of renaissance art / sculptures - which are literally hundreds of years old. Pretty good.

As a later-in-life devotee of art, the Uffizi was on my bucket list. Allow enough time to stroll through the many galleries and admire the magnificent building. Advice for anyone who is older, disabled or lacking in stamina. The museum is 11 stories high. Elevator service is limited and only provides access to the lobby, the top floor and maybe one floor in the middle. (There may be a hidden one for disabled visitors but we never saw it.) We walked up and down all 11 sets of stairs. If this dissuades you, simply take the elevator when you arrive from the ground floor to the top-most floor and work your way down. You may not see the art in the sequence the museum designers intended, but you will see it all. Art is timeless and very subjective so I won't provide specific recommendations other than to see it all. The art is beautifully labeled and segmented by artists and periods. There are also lovely nearby places right nearby to walk and dine, and proximity to the Ponte Vecchio. Enjoy!

Vanessa was a great tour guide we enjoyed her knowledge highly recommend! She showed us all of the important paintings and the history behind them. Vanessa also added a little humor to the tour and made learning the gallery interesting.

This is the best art gallery I have ever visited. I had got skip the line tickets in advance. The gallery is too huge. We were there inside for three hours and we still didn’t finish it. At the end we had to skip a lot of the rooms as we had another attraction planned after this. One of the most beautiful, significant, and famous art museums in the world, they are a must-see for art lovers and one of those places you may want to see once in a lifetime even if art is not your thing.

It isn’t just Venus that blows you away at the Ufizi Gallery. Everywhere you look there treasures. The ceilings and walls are utterly laden with spectacular works of art. The timed entry to the Ufizi makes the experience far more pleasurable, as although there are plenty of people about, it never felt crowded. The rooms are incredible and the views looking outward are pretty special too. Book your tickets in advance or be prepared for quite the queue.

Our guide was very kind and deeply informed on the museum and the artwork within. She gave us a great overview of the major pieces in the collection. My father has difficulty walking and she helped accommodate us on our tour.

We were lucky visiting the gallery on first Sunday of the month, when it was a free admission, hence we didn't wait too long on the queue. It is one of the first public museums, and it has huge amount of masterpiece works of renaissance artists. It is the place of some famous works of Rafael, Durer, Caravaggio, Titian, Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci. Schedule at least two or three hours to get full experience from the visit.

The art was very beautiful and there were many things to see. However, this place was absolutely packed. It was really hard to move and get around because of how many people were inside. The art was beautiful but just be careful of what time you go.

Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Caravaggio, Michelangelo, Titian, Sandro Botticelli, Fra Angelico, Baccio Bandinelli, Parmigianino, Rubens etc. No point to make more comments.
