This experience was very well organized. Easy for our family to bike from Florence to Tuscany for the day without a guide. The E Bikes were easy to use and necessary for this hilly and beautiful ride.

Absolutely first class from start to finish. Map is perfect and you get to take in Florence from a different perspective! If you listen in carefully to John, as he takes you through the route in some detail prior to leaving with your bike you will have ease in following the route provided. Excellent day on the e-bike tour and vine yard visit. John was very helpful from the onset and gave a thorough briefing on the route and stop offs along the way. The route was a combination of cycle path and very quite roads. Combination of scenic villages, forest and rolling hills. The vine yard visit was also great, here you could sample their wine and olive oils. The bikes made it easy going the whole way with little effort needed to cycle up steep inclines. Highlight of trip! Would recommend

Phenomenal!! Best tour we did in Italy. Highly recommend. Bikes were fun and easy to use. We enjoyed the wine at the winery. And it was amazing to be able to see the entire city in this way.

What a great way to see Florence and surrounding area! Know that this isn't a guided tour, but rather a self-paced one where you follow the downloaded guide map on your phone. The instructions provided made it straightforward to download and use. To make the ride even more trouble free, the owner John, walks through the route pre-ride and shows views of the key landmarks you need to find and be aware of to navigate through the route. Very helpful. While there is some in-city riding, it never felt dangerous and once you away for city center, and somewhat outside the city, the riding is completely stress free and the views and scenery are great, especially the forest areas and the far portion of the ride that offers incredible elevated views of the city. There are definitely some steep hills, but the e-bikes make easy work of that, especially in "turbo" power mode. The winery was a great stop and offered more great views and some tasty wines. They did not have any more slots for a full tasting the afternoon we visited, but we bought a couple of glasses and shared them as an alternative. The last portion of the ride from the winery back to the shop is mostly on designated bike lanes and is easy to navigate. Tour was perfect length where we got a bit of exercise without killing ourselves and got to see the city in a whole different way. Highly recommend this!

This self-guided e-bike tour was a highlight of a recent visit to Florence! The first thing to know is that you do NOT ride with a guide, you simply download a map, then follow it as you make your way along the route. You can stick with a group, or just ride with yourself, your crew or your partner. To make the ride easier, John (the owner) takes time to walk through a slide show of each "tricky" step of the route, so that one has a great idea of what's to come before you get on the bike. The route starts in Florence on semi-well traveled streets, but it never felt dangerous, particularly if one rides a bike often. There are several hills on the route, but the e-bikes make easy work of them! Along the way you stop at a vineyard where you can purchase wine and snacks, have a chat with the other folks on the tour and take in the amazing views that are surrounding you. One thing I really appreciated about the tour was the length - it's just long enough that you get to really out out in the hills and see some amazing views, but not TOO long that's difficult (and again, e-bikes are where it's at). If you want to get out and do your own, unique thing, I highly recommend e-bikesflorence and John!!!
