Well worth it, interesting, enjoyable. Our tour guide (Nando) did a very nice job. The group was friendly and truly multinational. The Island of Ortiga was our favorite part.

We had a great time and learned a lot about Sicily. Nando is an excellent guide. He explained everything we needed to know and was happy to answer our questions.

This trip was amazing from start to finish! Our guide Nando picked us up around the corner from our hotel and then drove us to Syracuse whilst describing the history of the area. We first got to the outskirts of Syracuse where we visited the Greek and Roman ruins for about 1h30. This was plenty of time and there was so much to see here! Some beautiful history, and he left us to explore ourselves after purchasing our tickets. After this we drove to Ortigia island where he gave us a tour of the town for around 30 minutes whilst again explaining the history and interesting stories - he was fantastic! We caught the end of the fish and vegetable market here where we purchased some gorgeous fruit. After the tour he gave us 1h15 to get lunch and have another explore on our own. We sat and had a beautiful lunch by the water followed by the best gelato! We did not feel rushed at all and had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and get the full experience of the beautiful island! Finally we drove to Noto where he again gave us another tour before leaving us to explore for an hour on our own. We went up to the roof of a church with a wonderful viewpoint over the town before having a drink in the main square and enjoying the gorgeous Sicilian sunshine! This trip was utterly lovely, not too much walking if you didn’t want to, and so much history learnt about Sicily. And our guide was fantastic at switching between Spanish and English to accommodate all tourists on the trip, even though there were only 8 of us! A must do from Catania!
