The best sightseeing of the Cinque Terre is in Vernazza as most of my friends/clients told me. In 3 minutes scenic train ride you will see Monterosso al mare. Then you come back and meet the driver back in the center of Vernazza since we have the permits to go straight in down town.

Not really a “guided tour” but rather “escorted transportation”. Took the day trip from Florence with boat ride option. Expected to hear more about the countryside on the way; instead only 1 or 2 sights pointed out each way then mostly silence. Some information is given by the tour guide at the beginning of each town but basically they are just escorting you on and off the train. Very little time (less than an hour) at each of the 4 towns. Not enough time to do much except hike as fast as possible to one of the views then rush back to the meeting point. Boat tour cancelled due to weather (understandable) but we weren’t given the additional time in any of the towns, instead they just brought us back an hour early (unacceptable). No partial refund or anything. If you are even a semi-competent traveler you could figure out the local train system (be sure to learn about ticket validation!) and use Google for facts about each town and save yourself a lot of money. Don’t miss the Cinque Terre - scenery is amazing and one of a kind - but you could skip the tour. Not worth the money in our opinion unless you want to pay a high price for convenience.

We had the opportunity to be shown around Cinque Terre by Stefano. He was a great driver, patient, had great advice, showed us his recommended favourite place, had a large comfy vehicle and was just an all round lovely guy. He shared information about what we would see and stopped for us to take pictures. It was a great experience and be even swapped WhatsApp numbers in case we were done quicker or in one instance we stayed longer so the teens could swim. It was a wonderful experience.

Absolutely gorgeous villages to visit on a sunny beautiful blue sky day!!! Diego, our driver Ali g with 2 drivers were absolutely great to communicate with the entire trip. We got to see Porto Verene, Vernazza n Coneglia.

The best thing about Artur was our driver, Francesca. Not only was she an excellent driver, but she knew just win to speak with us, and give us highlights and information of where we were heading and she knew when not to speak and just let us enjoy the view, it’s very important. If you’re going on this excursion that you wear comfortable shoes and are able to walk up the hills. Definitely worth it. Picturesque, beautiful and a different experience. Francesca made the drive comfortable she handled those tiny mountainous Rose, expertise and confidence.

The tour was AMAZING!! What made it great was our tour guide Francesca. She was wonderful! Patient, flexible, funny, kind hearted and shared a lot of stories of the different places we visited. The Tour’s Company Ciao Italy Tours Viareggio is truly AMAZING! They are attentive, honest and really know what they’re doing. We had a great experience! Truly recommend it!

We had a fabulous day. Davide was flexible and changed the itinerary for our private tour at the last minute and we had the best guide. I highly recommend this company. They treat you. like family.

We were picked up on time then told the itinerary was not achievable. The driver tried to include a winery instead which we did not want. She doubted we could do visit the five towns due to distance and traffic. We spent most of the tour in a vehicle. Francesca was an excellent driver but admitted she was not a guide. Overall it was very disappointing and doesn’t compare with any other Viators we have done.

We were a large group, 3 vans of 8 people. We requested to stick together and to have English speaking guides, and this tour company delivered! We had heavy rain on way to Cinque Terre, so guides adjusted the schedule, and we started at furthest town and then worked our way back. Unfortunately, due to the weather adjustment we were only able to visit 2 of the 3 towns planned. Actually, that worked well. This way, we were able to spend more time in the two towns we visited vs really quick stops in three. Our drivers/tour guides were Diego, Stefano and Nicholetta and all of us enjoyed each of these guides. Safe drivers, providing great tour info on the drive and worked hard to adjust with the weather to give us the best experience possible. Then we had a walking guide for the towns, Lisa. She was excellent and patient with all of this group of 24. I highly recommend using a guide, well worth it! I highly recommend this tour - everyone enjoyed Cinque Terre as one of our best tours on our cruise! Only recommendation I would suggest to the tour company is to have a microphone for the driver and a speaker in back of van so that the back two rows of riders can hear about the sights along the way.
