Your Itinerary

Duomo di Milano

If your time in Milan is limited, or if you want an overview to guide your exploration, this one-day walking tour is the perfect introduction, taking in all the most prominent sights – including guaranteed entry to see Da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’. Led by your local, English-speaking guide, you’ll visit some iconic sights and some on the path less travelled. You’ll get to skip the line at Milan Duomo and experience this world-famous cathedral without waiting – unlike the city itself, which waited nearly 600 years for the incredible building to be completed. The tour will pause again so you can admire the medieval Sforza Castle, before delving into the cobbled streets of the Brera district. This is the beating heart of Milan’s social and cultural life, as your guide will explain. You’ll hear about all the famous artists and thinkers that have called Brera home, as well as some more up-to-date recommendations of places to revisit later for a drink or a meal.

Admission Included

Castello Sforzesco

You'll see another architectural wonder at the Medieval Sforza Castle, which your guide will explain from the outside.

Admission Not Included

Brera District

(Pass by)

Along the way you’ll pass through the cobbled streets of the Brera district where you’ll find the heart of Milan’s social life. With your guide leading the way you’ll hear about the artists and intellectuals that once called these streets home, and get some tips on where to visit for a meal or a drink later.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

(Pass by)

Our next stop is the impressive Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade. Brimming with fashionable shops and cafés, it is often called the drawing room of Milan for its importance as a common meeting point. Passing through the Gallery we arrive at Piazza della Scala, the square which houses the world renowned Scala Theatre – Milan’s Opera House since 1778 which is still in use. Some of the greatest musicians and singers in history have performed here, notably Giuseppe Verdi whose famous operas, such as Falstaff, often premiered in this very theatre.

Il Cenacolo

It all builds to a viewing of Leonardo Da Vinci’s phenomenal mural, ‘The Last Supper’. Often imitated, never bettered, this masterpiece is carefully preserved, and only one group is allowed to view it at a time. This can make tickets a challenge to acquire, but yours are included in this package, along with special Skip the Line Access – so you’re guaranteed your full 15 minutes with the fresco. Listen as your guide points out the details that earn ‘The Last Supper’ its place in the history books. After just one day, you’ll find your relationship to Milan forever changed for the better.

The tour was booked and confirmed in late January. The evening before the tour the operator called and canceled. Claimed it never should have been confirmed and charged to my account. This left me scrambling to find another tour at the last minute.

Sylva was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. She was very patient with the headset issues and we really enjoyed the tour. Bathroom break should be longer in the future.

Our guide Luciani was superb, providing interesting facts and she spoke almost non-stop for the entire 3 hours. A good tour of Milan’s top attractions. Audio devices were provided so that we can hear the guide throughout the tour. Would recommend this company and the tour if you have only one day on Milan

Tour clearly set to start at 1pm. Arrived at 12:53pm and found out (by calling Viator as nobody was there) that request to arrive 15 minutes was on booking. Well, okay, but why did your tour leave ten minutes EARLY? If tour starts at 1pm, shouldn’t you wait until 1pm? Was offered a reschedule, but had no time in Milan to do that.

There are only two notable stops on the tour, the Duomo and the last supper but the tour lasted three hours. I felt that the guide was stalling so as to make the time for the last supper. That meant a lot of wasted, walking and standing. Also, at the end of the tour, we were kind of dumped off at the church with no directions, as to how to get back to where we started. The tour could be done in about an hour and a half if you were quickly transported between the two locations to make an earlier reserved time. Since we were a long way from the parking garage near the Doumo, it would also have been nice to know where the nearest cab stand was.

Great experience seing the last supper-a bucket list experience. Guide was awesome just did not have enough time to have a relaxing tour. Needed 15 to 30 more minutes to get to our appointed entrance time for the last supper. The route and history along the way excellent. Need to figure out a way to start closer to the last supper and continue on with the tour after. Meeting at the Duomo was very convenient but again needed a different sequence to allow for a relaxing non-rushed tour of the other locations visited.
