We booked and paid for The Godfather Tour with Savoca & D'Agro which included a lunch woth wine, but when we got to the meeting point they told us that they canceled that and put us on another tour and had sent us emails the day before telling us that. There were no emails as we were traveling with another couple under a separate reservation, and they, too, received no email. We had no choice but to go on the changed tour at this time, so instead, we were put on a Castelmola & Taormina highlights tour. The tour itself was nice, and they tried accommodating us, but our lunch was a fiasco. Everyone else in the group had a lunch break to do what they wanted. The 4 of us were sent to a restaurant that really didn't know we were coming, and the menu and food and wine were all unknowns. We felt rushed the whole time and almost missed the re-meeting point. I understand cancelations, but lying about trying to contact us and discovering the change on the day 'of' the tour was unsatisfactory.

We booked a private Godfather tour for our family of 5 including our 9 year old granddaughter. Our tour guide was Chiara who also happened to the person who helped us right from the time I contacted them before booking. All my inquiries were responded to quickly and Chiara was very helpful in planning our day. We were met at cruise ship and got to our first stop early before the sites opened. We were able to stop at a coffee shop/bakery and had the best home made cannoli. Chiara then took us to so many beautiful places. She obviously loves her job, was always smiling, and told us so much history and many interesting stories. We learned so much. My great grandparents were from Sicily and although we couldn’t get to their village the places we did go to felt like we were able to experience what it must have been like for my family back then. One highlight happened at the church in Savoca. After visiting the church we were sitting outside and the timing was just right that we were able hear the bells of the church play Ave Maria. Just beautiful. We visited all The Godfather sites, ate delicious food, saw gorgeous scenery and views, and enjoyed Chiara’s company. Chiara was also very attentive to our granddaughter and kept her engaged throughout the day. This day was very special for me and Chiara made it wonderful. Our whole family enjoyed everything and we highly recommend this tour. Thank you Chiara for everything you did for us to make our day so memorable and fun!

Abbiamo speso tanto tempo nel Van e ci sono stati tanti tempi morti durante il tour. Potevamo farlo da soli, la guida, brava persona ma ha parlato poco del film e della storia delle borgate.
