Very unique experience! It was just what I needed after the hustle and bustle of the city. Friendly staff and horses made this an excellent experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Highly recommend!

This was by far the best horse experience we’ve had in all our travels. Most experiences just show you how to get on and off of a horse. Not this one- you learn how to connect and earn the respect of a horse, how to care for them, get to know the horses and connect with them, learn how to respect them as well- it was definitely an amazing experience and Alessia was fantastic with both us and the horses. When we come back we would absolutely book again or even just visit to say hi and visit the horses again-thank you!

My daughter and I spent the morning with Alessia for a trail ride through the ruins. We lucked out having her all to ourselves! We started off feeding and grooming our horses - Alessia was careful to select ones that matched our level of riding and comfort. My daughter, being an accomplished rider, was given the opportunity to trot and gallop, while and I strode conservatively behind with Alessia. Alessia has great knowledge and passion for the area, and had a lot to share. I would definitely recommend this excursion; it was great to have some time out in the fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of the City.

We booked this experience for our anniversary as something different when in rome. We had an amazing experience, I'm not very experienced but alyessia was soo supported and helpful and made me feel very comftable on her horses, we really enjoyed the full experience, alyessia is so friendly and helpful and has a strong passion for her horse sanctuary it was a pleasure to have this experience and help to support the association of rescued horses by not only riding them and gaining knowledge of ancient Rome but grooming them and feeding them too. Alyessia even took some pictures for us during the horse ride so we which we was very grateful off. would 100% recommend this experience and would love to come back and do this again along the beach one day!

It has been an amazing experience! Before the walk we fed the horses and combed them, it was fun. Alessia and the other guys clearly explained to us everything we had to do and we felt at ease from the start. Absolutely recommended

Amazing experience. We spent a couple of hours in the wild nature riding beatufiul horses. We learnt a lot about these animals and the difference between knight and jockeys.

Riding in this historical area ostia antica is absolutely amazing and worth participating in. We first did horse care things like using brushes and combs to clean the fur, connecting us with lovely horses. Then we with horses friends explored the area, appreciated natural beauty. Ranch staffs are very nice and skillful, instructing me how to ride rightly. Fun things happened after the horse ride, we were supposed to feed horses with apples, i at first didn’t realize that lol i asked is this apple for me or for him( the horse with me). Haha i then got one 😋

Alessia and everyone who worked at the barn were exceptionally kind ! I had read the reviews ahead of time and I made sure to ask about our starting time (10am) and after confirming it, there was absolutely no problems, in fact, I was the one who was 15mins late haha but they were very accommodating. Arriving at the train station, you get your choice of coffee and a cornetto for breakfast and then you are driven to and back from the farm. I was even able to borrow helmet, boots, and half-chaps from them. On the way back Alessia introduced the Ostia Antica region to me which led me to discover some of the most beautiful, quaint streets ever (even in January) and even visit a Renaissance castle, which I had no idea was there. They clearly love what they do and I was honoured to join their network of horse-lovers :)

We’re a group of 3 American students staying near the center of Rome. We took a train and it took about an hour to get to the meeting point. The day started off pouring rain so we weren’t sure if our appointment would be canceled. Alessia sent a message around an hour before our appointment to postpone it 90 minutes and see if the rain would stop. We arrived at the meeting point (coffee shop), got the free breakfast and ran into Pietro, a volunteer at the stables (from what we understood). He offered to take us to the stables and we got to help him feed the horses hay. We also met 4 adorable cats waiting for the rain to stop. They were awesome. After the rain stopped we helped prepare 3 horses for riding by feeding and saddling them. After a brief introduction we rode with Pietro down the trail. It was extraordinary. TLDR: Dress for the weather, be flexible, set aside the whole day if you’re booking in advance, book it.
