My day with Federica was exquisite. I will never forget the experience. We went on a tour of some wonderfully old and beautiful Villas then we did a hike, all the while talking and chatting and getting to know one another Federica is so knowledgeable and clearly loves her hometown of Lucca. We ended the day with a visit to Francesca and Cosimo's wine vineyards where we ate and explored more. I highly recommend this experience!!

During my month stay in Lucca I went on 3 tours run by Alessandro and Federica and can HIGHLY recommend them. I did the bike tour with Alessandro out to Villa Reale and that was amazing - both scenery wise and for the visit to the family run vineyard for lunch. I also went with Federica on a full day hike in the Apuan Alps - a highlight of my stay in Lucca, scenery like I have never seen before, and also a beautiful walk called “La Dole Vita of the Renaissance” - which was also fabulous. Both Alessandro and Federica are beautiful people with such warm hearts - the friendship I formed with them during my tours is a very special one indeed. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with them - it will absolutely be a highlight of your stay in Lucca.

My husband and I were the only guests on the Gattaiola walk with Frederica and thus had the full benefit of her knowledge and sparkling personality. The two villas we visited were fascinating, the bread-and-olive-oil picnic a lovely surprise, and the wine tasting in the vineyard quite spectacular. We loved her local knowledge and pride, and the information she shared about culinary plants was an unexpected joy that added so much to the walk. We cannot recommend Frederica highly enough.
