Class held in a quaint garden. The walk uphill is very steep. So worth the effort. Our class had an amazing afternoon preparing a very nice lunch.,

This was a wonderful experience. Alessandro was a patient teacher and the food was delicious. The other couples were lovely and cooking outside on an Italian hillside was special.

Alessandro’s class was a lot of fun. He welcomed us with home made cookies, water and wine. My three year old daughter also came along and have a blast. The class was very interesting and dinner was amazing afterwards. We also got a little treat at the end of home made lemoncello that made everything even better.

We had a well organized day in a beautiful garden, with nice ambience. Alessandro is very kind and helpful. He has explained a lot and answered many questions. He picked us up from downtown and his family gave us a warm welcome. We got many tips and tricks for the perfect pasta and pesto. The food was super tasty. It included wine, water, and an appetizer and dessert. Can definitely recommend this.

We arrived at the meeting place and were soon joined by Alessandro (our host/chef instructor for the day) - he led us to his beautiful backyard garden. He had wine & homemade foccacia al formaggio waiting for us. My husband I had fun getting to know our new friends from around the world, who were also attending the cooking class. After our aperitif, we got to work. We made two different kinds of pasta from scratch - corzetti & trofie, both pastas typical of Liguarian cuisine. The first is cut into rounds and stamped, the second is shaped with a technique that was a bit tricky for some of us to master, but it was a fun challenge! While the pasta dried in the sun, we made homemade Genovese pesto. Finally, after a couple hours prepping our meal, we sat down to enjoy. The best pesto I’ve tasted 🤤 such a fun experience overall - very relaxed afternoon, learning new skills alongside others. Thanks to Chef Alessandro for a memorable afternoon. He was so kind and answered all our questions. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Genoa!!!
