Piazza Cavour

At the beginning of the tour from the main square in Como, Piazza Cavour, the visitors will be explained the main sights and tourist attractions of the city. Furthermore, they will receive tips and information about activities thay can do during their entire stay. Also practical questions of any kind will be answered by the guide.

Lake Como

During the boat ride, travellers will have a chance to admire the particular landscape mix of Lake Como with its pre-alpine and Mediterranean features. Villages on the lakeshore will be pointed out and its historic/famous villas described (e.g. Villa d'Este, ex-villa of G. Versace, villa of George Clooney, Villa Carlotta, Villa Melzi etc.).

Villa del Balbianello

We will visit the probably most beautiful villa on Lake Como, tell you its history of over 700 years and explain where the famous scenes of Star Wars (Attack of the Clones) and James Bond Casino Royal were filmed.

Violetta was amazing and the sites were incredible. Cannot say enough about this trip: the views, the food, the history, everything about it was excellent. The group was all fun and we made friends with a few of the others in the group!

One of the prettiest places we have ever been! Violetta was very kind, funny, and informative. We learned so much about the Lake Como, and she took us to all the best spots (like Villa Balbianello aka the Star Wars spot). She even made sure we made it back to our train on time since the ferry had a temporary break down, and she didn’t leave us behind when plans changed last minute to get the ferry back up and running! She also made sure to take pictures of me and my fiancé along the way :) It was truly an amazing experience!

This is a great tour especially for those who want a guide with them the entire day. The guides helped us manage the ferry system quickly and easily. However, for those that want some free time in Bellagio this tour isn’t for you. Our tour guide, Elena, kept the group together the entire day even choosing a restaurant for lunch. While she was very knowledgeable I would have preferred to have time alone in the town rather than only go to places/shops our tour guide led us. In hindsight I should have requested to break off and meet back at the ferry at an appointed time.

Our tour guide, Violetta, was friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and professional. She provided bountiful information about various locations and personalities in/ around Lake Como. We departed Como on a hydrofoil. At the intermediate destination [Lenno?] we debarked the hydrofoil to discover that the expected powerboat transfer to Villa Balbianello was not available. We then had to walk, mostly uphill, to get to Villa Balbianello. The extensive walk was, thankfully, worth the effort. Villa Balbianello was all we expected, and more. After our return, we caught a regular ferry to Bellagio, where we had a great lunch, and then took an extended tour of the town. Bellagio is fairly small, but very scenic. We then returned to Como on a hydrofoil. In retrospect, the tour seemed to be well designed. I would caution potential tour guests to determine that the power boat transfer [between Lenno and Villa Balbianello] is available, for this tour. If it isn’t, ensure you are able to trek in the mid-day heat, uphill [mostly], to visit Villa Balbianello.

Our family had a perfect day on Lake Como with Violetta. Bellagio was the dreamiest little village and the villa Balbianello was a beautiful tour. She was so knowledgeable and the day was so perfectly organized and timed. We would not have been able to navigate all of the boats, lunch, and the villa on our own in one day. She goes above and beyond for her clients and even made dinner reservations for our family on the boat ride back. Book this tour your first day in Como and then you will have a wealth of knowledge and ideas for what to do in the following days. 10/10 would recommend! Worth every penny.
