It is crossed in length by the river Piave that presents a favorable composition of the surrounding soil to grow great wines. In the past, the Venetians brought into the territory valuable ideas and knowledge. Around the beautiful villas and barchesse, which belonged to the nobles of the Serenissima, there are many hectares of vineyards. The DOC “Piave Wines” includes the following varieties: Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot (Black, White, and Grey), Raboso, Tocai, Verduzzo. In this land, the authentic flag of viticulture and enology is the Raboso, the native vine whose first traces of cultivation date back to the seventeenth century.
