We had a really nice tour, nice pacing and not to fast but also not too slow. The stories were really interesting and we learned a lot. Our guide was Csenge and she did a great job :)

Paula is an awesome human who is full of fascinating and delightfully macarbe stories about Rome. It was an extremely refreshing way to see Rome and I would recommend this to all grim seeking adventurers.

Dalilah, our guide, was very entertaining and knowledgeable and the perfect accompaniment for the walk. It lasted just over 2hrs and was a mix of local history and a few gory / ghostly tales. Make sure you wear comfy trainers! 😂

We booked this tour for our last night in Rome and we are so happy that we did. We were excited to discover that Delilah was our guide, since we read glowing reviews about her in other posts. She did not disappoint. Not only was she knowledgeable & insightful about the mysterious and sometimes gruesome events in Rome’s history, but she had a wonderfully dry, dead-pan sense of humor. It was kind of like having Wednesday Addams from the Netflix show, Wednesday, as our guide. She definitely piqued our interest with the stories she told, so much so that we wanted to learn more about Beatrice Cenchi, Giulia Tofano, and poor, poor Bruno, who was tortured and executed in the very spot where our tour began. The 2-plus hours of creepy stories about elaborate murders, vengeful spirits, horrific prisons & haunted bridges just flew by. During the tour, we had to navigate around drunken folks spilling out of local bars. We thought it was due to it being St. Patrick’s day, but Delilah informed us that it had nothing to do with the holiday, but just a typical fun Friday night in Rome. In any case, she made sure that all 15 people in our tour stayed together, stayed safe & hydrated, were enjoying the tour and were not run over by cars going WAY too fast down narrow, cobblestone streets. (Something that we never quite got used to during our time in Rome.) We highly recommend this tour. Not only did we learn a lot about Rome’s dark history, we also had a blast doing it. Delilah was very witty & informative and an asset to the tour company. But if anyone offers you Aqua de Tofano while on the tour, just say no!! Haha! Grazie!
