Museo Revoltella

The banker promoted the economic and cultural development of Trieste in the 19th century and was instrumental in financing the Suez Canal. He bequeathed his entire fortune to the city of Trieste. His palace in the city center was considered a competitor to Miramare Castle during his lifetime, and after his death it became a museum with his private apartments on the one hand and the modern art gallery he founded on the other. I would be happy to guide you through the rooms of Baron Revoltella's magnificent apartment - and then you have the opportunity to visit one of the most important galleries in Italy individually.
