Very Nice tour. It's perfectly possible to only ask for explanation on certain murals thanks to the easy interfaces of the audioguide. Two People get one guide with two complete headphones, so you can listen together. 10 EUR/two People.

My wife and I went to Orgosolo for the murals, they are fantastic! Social commentary, history, resistance and more. The audioguide provided us with important context that allowed us to take in the richness of the area and these works. The business owner is warm and helpful and for $10 Euros, you get a walk-a-your-own-pace tour. It is well worth the modest cost! Enjoy.

We ended up spending about two hours on a walking tour with one of the personal (human) guides named Giovanna. She was absolutely lovely, so well-versed in all of the local art, and clearly knew most of the people in town. This let her take us to some very special areas like the crypt of the church honoring a young women and then to a great cheese shop where this woman makes her own cheese, and then to a place where the last woman who makes authentic silk headwater is still working. Truly worth the e30 per person. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I took a spontaneous detour to see the murals in Orgosolo, and we were so happy we did! ScopriOrgosolo Audioguide has a small kiosk in Piazza Caduti in Guerra. The owner of ScopriOrgosolo, Miriam, greeted us warmly when we arrived and explained how the audioguide and tour of the murals worked. It costs 10€ to rent the audioguide, which includes two sets of headphones, and, in our opinion, it was worth every penny! The guide includes a 15-minute intro to Orgosolo and the history of the murals, along with background information on 80 different murals. The information is available in several languages. You can rent the audioguide for up to four hours, which gives you more than enough time to listen to all of the info and enjoy a lunch or a gelato along the way. Because we got there later in the day and had a 1.5 hour drive to our agriturismo afterwards, we only ended up listening to the info for about 50 of the murals. However, we found it absolutely fascinating and look forward to coming back the next time we’re in Sardinia. The murals are vividly painted and reference a variety of local, national, and international events from the 20th and 21st centuries. They include famous quotes and excerpts from poems written in Italian and also the Sardinian language. We learned a great deal from this audioguide and as we think back on our wonderful trip to Sardinia, Orgosolo certainly stands out as one of the highlights.

If you visit Orgosolo for the murals you really should spend 10 euros on the audioguide found in the small wooden office in the square where the tour starts. The guide tells you of the history of the town and the murals, the battle between the local farmers and the government to prevent the building of an American air base in this beautiful agricultural and natural plain. Thank goodness they fought for their land as this is a lovely peaceful part of Sardinia. The audioguide brings the murals alive and translates the words and meanings for you. You can meander at your own pace then stop for lunch or a look in the shops then continue on this circular tour. Really worth the money.

This audio guide, which can be purchased from a stand in the main square, is extremely helpful in aiding the visitor in understanding the context of the murals in Orgosolo, as well as providing interesting insights into individual murals. The self-guided tour, with accompanying map, takes about 1-2 hours, depending on how quickly you move through the murals, and how many other tourists there are in town! Overall, we thought this guide was very good value (10 euro for two users) and really brought the town and murals to life.

A must see on any visit to Sardinia. The history of its people and the world all revealed through masterpieces of local artists. The guide highlighted the important pieces and the artist who haven’t signed any of their work. Loved every minute of the tour. Well done everyone

If you can't visit Orgosolo with someone from Orgosolo, this is the best way of doing that. The idea of creating a guide is brilliant, as it allow you to listen to the stories of some murales, understanding their meaning and what muralism means. Sardegna is full of open air museum (and I love that! I love the idea of a museum for everyone), but is rare to find a guide. Adding to this, Miriam is welcoming and she takes care of you, in a very kind way. I definitely suggest to use the guide and to take enough time to walk slowly and take some of the suggestion of the guide, like visiting the silkworm museum. Ah! If the desk is close, try to call!

Very nice tour that you can make at your own pace. Audioguide helps in uderstanding the origin and the idea of each of the murales. 1 set can be shared by 2 people and costs 10 EUR. You can park right in front of the kiosk and this is also where the tour starts.

I opted for the ScopriOrgosolo audioguide based on good reviews. My first impressions of the service were a little negative. The side of the kiosk has a sign saying the cost is €5 per person, but I discovered that this is based on two people sharing a single unit, which as a solo visitor I felt was misleading. When I spoke Italian the woman replied in English just because I have a foreign accent, which always feels slightly insulting, but she was otherwise helpful and informative. As well as the audioguide, you are given a leaflet with a map, numbered images of the murals corresponding to the numbers on the guide, and some information on other attractions and restaurants. The explanations are good and helped me to learn a lot about the background of the murals, although I still had difficulty finding a couple of them. It was sometimes a little awkward juggling the map, the audioguide, and a camera all at once. Since most of the murals are on the narrow main street with many cars passing, you have to continually pay attention to the road which is a distraction from the audio and the art. I recommend listening with just one ear, or at least keeping the volume low, to stay aware of traffic. Overall, I thought the guide and accompanying materials were very professionally made and informative, but in this situation a book would have been more practical. A few books are available, but I don't know if their explanations are as comprehensive as those of the audioguide. Also be aware that the kiosk is closed for a couple of hours during lunchtime, as is normal for attractions in Italy, but you can still return the guide through a letterbox when it is closed. A couple asked me where I got the guide and were disappointed to find out that it was closed.
