Excellent afternoon wine tour into the valpolicella region with our guide Anna who was brilliant. We loved the stop at San Georgio village and then onto the Franchini winery where we met Sonja and tasted the wines and toured the vineyard. The wines were excellent and we devoured the Amarone, the Ripasso and the Azzardo. We really learnt a lot from Anna and Sonya about the wine making methods and explanation of wines from the region which were detailed and helpful - they really know their wines! Overall a great experience and highly recommended

Our tour guide, Elisabetta, was wonderful. She drove us first to a pretty town on a hill with a beautiful view and lovely church. Even though it was raining, we all enjoyed the first part of our tour. She then drove us to Franchini Winery. We then had Sonya give us a tour of the winery which has an interesting history. She was very knowledgeable about the wines, had a great personality and answered any questions that the group had. The wines that we tasted were excellent and all three generations of our family had a memorable experience. We would highly recommend this tour.

Took a half day wine tasting tour from Verona to vapollicella region with another couple. Ariana competently drove the mini-bus while giving us an intro to the region and it's history of wine-making. Stopped in a lovely Hamlet in the hills and visited a church, parts of which date back to Roman times. Then went to a winery where a knowledgeable staff member led a tour of the wine-making area then hosted an informed wine tasting accompanied by cheeses and breadsticks. A very enjoyable afternoon led by two very competent and personable young Italian women.

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tour with Anna our tour guide. We went first to a hilltop village in Valpolicella which had stunning views of the countryside - we could see all the way to Lake Garda. The village parish church dated from c. 10th century ad and the cloisters were interesting. We could not go in the church as a wedding was in progress - we watched the guests and bride enter the church - an added bonus.
Anna explained the process of wine making in Valpolicella which was very useful . Then we went to a local independent vineyard where the owner Cynthia explained the process of cultivating the vines and making the wine and showed us the different grape varieties. This was extremely enlightening as each stage in the process was illustrated . We saw the grapes and got to smell the first press of the wine .
Then we had our wine tasting with snacks and water. Cynthia explained all the differences between the different types of wine produced on site . This was really great for the appreciation of the qualities of each wine.
It was all in all a marvellous experience - the expert guide Anna , the stunning views of the wine growing area and the warm welcome and expertise of Cynthia at her vineyard made this a memorable time . Highly recommended for wine enthusiasts.

In spite of a very hot day, we had a great afternoon tour. Anna, our guide, was warm, informative and very personable. The views along the way were special and the air-conditioned van was critical for this hot day. The small family owned winery was so interesting and the owner's tour was a real glimpse into the life of running this family enterprise. The wines were delicious and we learned a lot. Great day!

Lovely guide-very skimpy servings and hugely overpriced. Randomly a couple brought their kids along to our tour. Although they were pretty well behaved it wasn’t great for those wanting to enjoy a relaxed grown up experience. The tour guide really should have stopped this.
The guide was a lovely man, very knowledgable and the church we visited was nice. The visit to the winery was poor. It very much felt like it was an inconvenience having us there and the portions were appalling! 1 piece of salami and a crumble of cheese per person, accompanied by 5 tastings of wine, each so tiny that it wasnt really even possible to get a good idea of the flavours. The final tasting, the host basically ran out of wine and I got literally a thimble from the bottle. I assumed she would open another buy nope-that was it!! All in all each person received less than a glass of wine for the tasting in total and barely any snacks.
They also produced their own olive oil on site-when one of the party asked to try some-they were totally ignored-flat out NO!
I’ve been on other wine tours before and they have been relaxed hospitable experiences-this one was purely transactional. Sadly I would not recommend it.

Lovely tour of a winery and really enjoyed the tasting session. The young man at the winery was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic

The area was beautiful but our guide was very weak. Talked soft while driving and even bring only one row back was hard to understand. Guide didn’t seem very confident in her topic. The winery owner did a good job on explaining their process and the type of wines. We have had a good amount of tours in our first three weeks of travels all being quite good. I can not recommend this tour. Makes me sad to say but the value was not there.
