This was advertised as a 3 hour tour. The day before I was scheduled to go on the tour, I called to check the details that hadn't been communicated and the director in an office said, "8:30 am departure- Arrive at location for meeting at 8:10 to be on time, so tickets can be checked etc.." I arrived at 8:00 am with my sister. There is no office or place to wait. This company uses a random address on a street for a meeting point. There was no one there to meet us at 8:00 am or 8:10. We went into a hotel to get help. The hotel said they have nothing to do with the company and to go back outside and wait on the street. Anyhow around 8:15 someone arrived off the Metro. Looked at two confused Americans and approached us asking if we were waiting for a tour to the Pope's Palace. At that point the person said, "We are running late and will leave at 9am, and the tour is more like 4.5 hours with traffic considerations now because we are leaving later." What?? My sister and I had train tickets that we purchased the previous afternoon based on the information this company gave us the previous day. Then the staff 'on the street' didn't take responsibility for the changed itinerary and refused to give us a refund. Even though we saw three people go in and out of the building across the street, were there office was, we were told there was no management we could discuss our problem with on a Saturday morning. The company changed the tour time and incorrectly advertised it as 3 hours on Viator not us!!! Anyhow I had to call Viator 2x to get a refund. The tour sounds good, but the people running it are very disorganized. They don't have a building or office for waiting or to handle customer business. This experience lacked organization and customer service that I have experienced with many other Viator tours in Italy.

The residence and gardens were very interesting. Especially nice lunch in beautiful setting. Disappointed that tour was listed as "English" and the guide did not speak English. One lady translated much of what he said, but still confusing and created problems with where to be when. Misleading advertising. Glad we went.
