Travelers will be picked up at the hotel indicated by them with a classic car or a minivan based on the number of passengers, the guide or driver will welcome travelers inside the hotel and verify the booking. The journey will last approximately 2 hours to arrive in Pompeii, during the journey travelers will be able to have 15/20 minute breaks available for a coffee or a sandwich at a refreshment point. The journey to Pompeii is not very scenic but you can admire Vesuvius. In Pompeii, travelers will visit an ancient Roman city near modern Naples. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area was buried under 4-6 m (13-20 ft) of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. the inhabitants were also buried before they could escape. Positano

To get to Positano from Pompeii the journey takes approximately 1.15 hours. The journey is very scenic, certainly one of the most sought-after attractions in the world. You will be able to admire the Gulf of Naples in its entire beauty and then pass through the Amalfi coast where it will be possible to stop in front of the landscape of Sorrento to take some photos. The journey continues with other fantastic views that can only be admired on the Amalfi coast. Marco was our driver and was prompt for arrival and provided adequate breaks along the way. He was helpful to guide us for where we needed to be and give recommendations. As you venture into Positano there are many places to shop and eat and suggest you make plans in advance for where you want to go and spend your time. The views are amazing we enjoyed our time. We had the most amazing family tour from Rome to Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and Positano with My Great Tour! Not only everything was perfect, but we felt, in every instance, that Anrea our driver and guide truly cared about us, both the kids and adults, and did his absolute best to make this trip memorable!! He texted us the day before to confirm pick up time at our apartment hotel and the very next day he was at our doorstep promptly at 7 am. We knew leaving from Rome this would be a long day BUT it was obvious we were in great hands. Anrea was very charismatic, attentive and warm, we didn't feel rushed at all. For our children (aged 5,7 and 9) this definitely was the most eye-opening, adventurous, and stunning journey of their lives! For us adults we were pleasantly surprised by the diversity of our trip: from archaeological sites to the gorgeous Amalfi coast to the charming town of Positano. He stopped at strategic points along the coast for those picture perfect memories and even helped us book a restaurant in front of the beach at Positano. It worth to mention he ensured the owner payed special attention to us. Truly unforgettable. What a fantastic private day tour experience to Pompei and Positano for my girlfriend’s birthday surprise this was. The day could not have been more perfect and we owe it to our driver Andrea. He was punctual, handled all the translations including surprising us with 2 reservation options to beach front restaurants after we came back from the Pompei tour - I simply asked for suggestions, he went above and beyond. Pompei was impressive, gave you a good sense for daily Roman life and Positano had breath taking views especially on the drive there.
