Roma in 2 giorni di tour

This is my third time hiring Max in Rome. The two previous times were one-day trip excursions from the cruise port. This time, we were staying in Rome and so booked the two day tour with Max. Despite having to change up plans due to an unexpected event with the Pope in St. Peter’s Basilica, we had a great tour with Max the first day, then we had Salvatore and Corinne on the next day. A private tour with Max and his crew is the only way to go, so worth the money. When you see large groups of people in the Vatican with their earpieces listening to a guide, you can’t help but feel thankful you are not with them! Max is so knowledgeable. We also hired him for a day trip to Positano and Sorrento but he was unable to personally take us due to other obligations but arranged Salvatore to take us, and my, we could not have been more pleased! We LOVED Salvatore! He took us to a limoncello factory then on to Sorrento for shopping, then called ahead to a restaurant in Positano to make sure we had the best table for lunch! Given it’s a three and a half hour drive from Rome to Amalfi Coast, we spent a lot of time with Salvatore. He was so funny and entertaining, yet also pointed out places and gave us history along the way. So, in conclusion, as you can tell, I totally trust Max and his partners to be the best guides in Italy and would hire them again in a heartbeat if I needed tours, excursions or transfers (I failed to mention him arranging airport transfers to and from for usas well). It is SO worth the money. We love you Max!

Max was a great tour guide! He brought the history of Rome to life. He taught us a lot while also keeping it fun and engaging. We had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend this company.

Marco and Raffaella showed us around for the first day. Then Max for the second day. It was amazing how much we got to see. They were so well organized. We got to skip lines and they managed to easily find parking everywhere. It was stress-free for us and also so much fun. The guides kept our kids engaged and laughing even with jet lag. We 100% recommend them!

January 2020—We had an amazing private 2-day Rome tour with Max of ItalyRomeTour. It was the highlight of our 2-week tour of the Mediterranean. We are pretty savvy vacationers, but there is no way we could have ever had covered as many sites or territory on our own. Max was the perfect guide: organized, knowledgeable, informed and charming. Door to door each day was an adventure filled to the brim with the rich history of Rome. He had all our tickets ahead of time, we never waited in line, and he timed each location for a well-planned day. He came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Definitely an expert at his craft and the highest caliber guide. He has a unique gift for gauging your interests, and always has additional information on his i-pad, like a museum curator, to support and further illustrate the history he was sharing. I could have done two more days. Bravissimo.

We used italyrometours as our pickup from airport to Rome, 2 day tour in Rome and transfer from Rome to Civitavecchia. Max was our guide and thrilled us with his knowledge of the sites and also with his outgoing personality. This is absolutely the best tour we have ever taken and was well worth the cost. Anyone traveling to Rome I would suggest they use Max’s company as their tour guide.
