I have written to you and am awaiting a resolution. We were extended a partial refund from Jamie of $35.80. This too makes no sense as we had to wait while the guide bought our tickets. What does 11:00 “skip the line” mean then??

Fantastic visit with our guide Maria who gave us a lot of insight about Florence history, the Medici family, the masterpieces of Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Botticelli, Giotto and many others ... many thanks!

You must have a skip the line tour to go through to see David. There are so many people in such a small space and they only let so many in at a time and groups like this get priority. Our guide was great and explained everything very well. If you have ear buds, not wireless, bring them. You will find that most tours use a small transmitter with earplugs so everyone can hear. They can be uncomfortable and not work right so bring your own.

Would absolutely recommend phoning as process is very simple , press 2 for the English speaking option , rather than reserving using the website , which kept crashing. We toured quite a lot of Italy this month and for some sites you don’t need skip the line tickets eg Pompeii, Herculaneum and St. Peter’s basilica , but if you want to see David you definitely do !

We purchased skip-the-line tickets (no guided tour). The person showed up late and we had to wait another 20 minutes for him to give us our tickets. The biggest problem was that they mislead us about not having to wait in line, even though they knew fully well that we would have to wait in line with others who had reservations (which was an almost equally long line as the no-reservations line). The whole process took more an hour so I'm not sure how much time we saved (and this after paying more than 2x the official ticket price). Maybe our experience was an outlier but we would not recommend this service.

We turned up on time. The guy with the ticket didn't about 25 minutes late. When he did he kept on walking off he didn't really explain why or where he was going. When he were handed our tickets no explanation was given as to which queue we had to join he just disappeared again. The fact there was a queue (albeit much shorter than the one for those that didn't have the skip the line tickets) wasn't a problem the fact that no one explained which queue we had to join was.

My sister booked ahead for us to visit the Accademia Gallery in Florence and I would highly recommend this tour. To skip the queue is a real plus and our guide Rosa was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects, which made the experience so enjoyable. Thank you Rosa for making it such a wonderful visit to this amazing place.

We found it difficult to hear what our guide was saying. There was a lot of background noise and the guide stressed she had to keep her voice down, which was understandable but did not help. Earphones would have helped hugely. I gather they are used for larger groups but please consider using them for all. We had to stand very close to hear her at all, and sadly she had bad breath! But Michelangelo's David is simply superb, and she allowed us plenty of time to study him, so that was a plus.

Want to be toured around Accademia Gallery with an Art Historian? Emanuela is as knowledgeable in The Italian Renaissance as she is gorgeous. Her in depth descriptions of key pieces in the Gallery is memorable. I finished the tour knowing more than I did started. She also was my guide for my pre-booked walking tour, and she again displayed an in depth knowledge about the history of Florence and her passion is clear to see. She’s too class.
