We took this tour our first night in Rome and it did not disappoint! Our guide, Brian was fantastic and was a great story teller. We got to see places and hear stories you wouldn’t get on a normal history tour. Worth every penny!

Our guide, Arianna, was fantastic. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine passion shone through, and her personal touches made it a memorable and insightful experience I would highly recommend

Great tour of the macabre and twisted past of the eternal city! Bryan was very entertaining and funny.

Initially concerned that we may not find our guide (Sarah) but one quick WhatsApp call at the meeting time and problem solved. I would rate the 2 hours as outstanding. In 2 parts, there was the actual tour (locations, stories, events) and then Sarah’s general knowledge of the history of Rome, beyond the framework of the tour. The actual tour was great and took us places we would not have gone nor have had knowledge of the unique history of these locations. Sarah’s historical knowledge was unsurpassed. All in all worth every cent, away from the crowds and gaining more about some of the secrets or Rome.

Highly recommend! I did this tour with my three teen daughters. Our guide Brian was great! We met at Castel Sant'Angelo where he gave us some interesting history of the castle, the Vatican, and Tiber river. From there we walked through the neighborhoods as he told us interesting stories. We learned of a female serial killer, saw what was the children's prison and a woman's prison, among many others. This was a fun off the beaten path kind of experience. A tip for Rome- bring your own refillable bottle. There are drinking fountains everywhere! Some are ornate and some are hidden! Brian taught us how to make it into a spout in case you don't have a bottle. :) Yes it's hot. Yes it's crowded. A small umbrella can provide shade and rain protection. Be patient. Have fun! It's a beautiful country!

Bryan was amazing, very knowledgeable and funny. We were the only 2 people on the tour so that was nice. We learnt so much about the dark history of Rome and it was so interesting. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour.

Sarah was an excellent historian and story teller. She really made the ancient scenes come alive in our hearts and minds. It is not often that someone is as gifted in engaging history…. But specially dark history.

We have finally done it! The Secrets of Rome tour had been on our bucket list for a long time. Finally, that our kids are a bit easier to keep engaged, we booked it and loved every second of it. On this tour you will see places that you would have never seen on your own and hear the stories that will give you chills .

We’ve been to Rome a few times so we wanted to explore something new. Demitri was an excellent guide and story teller. The scandals of Rome were way more interesting than anything you learn in school. It was so cool to see the actual buildings still standing where such fascinating people lived and died.

Our guide was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and had a great style for telling ancient tales. And so many interesting stories. We hit ghost hot spots carrying diving rods which was really fun. We saw Michelangelos home while he was painting the Sistine Chapel. BTW he hated painting it but was under orders from the pope or his family was doomed. We visited streets and sights we had no idea we had been passing daily. I’ve been looking up all the names of the people in his stories. 2 hours went by too fast! Learned a lot!
