The bike ride was a highlight of our 12 day trip in Italy. Andrea and Gianluca made our bike trip super easy and they were kind. 5 star treatment. The ride was lovely on top of the walls of the ramparts in Lucca and the countryside was peaceful and interesting! We even saw fresh water turtles and fish! It took us 2 and a half hours to get to Pisa from Lucca despite having e-bikes and all being fit and young.

Great ride! The agent was very helpful despite being under pressure from a large queue. He explained everything well and gave us some good quality e bikes. We used Kamoot to access the route map which is a great way to follow directions at your own speed. The bikes had lock and puncture repair fluid along with panniers. The route was around 33km one way and was mostly off road or on small lanes. After a quick stay in Pisa we cycled back so totalled around 66km day cycle. This is a very easy cycle and should be fine for cyclists who are familiar with about 3-4 hours in the saddle. It is possible to go only one way and take the train back to Lucca at extra cost to you. I fully recommend this route! We did it in the rain and it was cool so ideal for the cooler months of the year. Great value fun day out!

What a fun ride to and from Pisa! No problem getting there and back, but plan for a couple hours each way. Plus the time in Pisa. The ride was a real highlight of the two week trip, but keep in mind you are on roads, more so on the return route. Bikes were super high quality, but heavy which doesn’t matter much - just a heads up. Do it!

Our children, who are quite small/young found this ride quite easy. The directions were easy to follow and the staff were willing to help out and accomodate us. This was a highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend this

everyone had such a great time. I think it exceeded our expectations. The bikes were well-maintained and the app that guided us on our phones was very easy to use. It was much easier than I anticipated to get the bikes on the train for the return trip. The folks at the tour center were super helpful and tolerated all our questions.

We biked back to Lucca on a short route that went through small villages with views of the mountains in the background. (PS the Viator operator assured us that we could leave our bikes in Pisa, such was not the case.)

The e bikes are fantastic- a great way to travel to Pisa and see some of the countryside on the way. Navigation is fine once you get the hang of it. You will need to be careful of the amount of charge in your phone battery as it will be used during the trip to navigate .

Great itinerary...recommended bike tour app worked well. We were in Pisa after 2 1/2 hours of off the beaten path trails. Ebikes made a huge difference. Only cautionary note is the gps app eats smart phone battery charge. Luckily we had a battery booster so the entire trip out to Pisa and back to Lucca was fine. We are active mid 70's and the trip was well within our abilities.
