Our tour with Nicola was amazing. First, have to admit I was skeptical on the size of the group we would be going with but the tour group was only 10! Which was PERFECT! Also, i want to highlight that the day before I'd had a terrible fall and spent time at the ER in the local hospital getting a large gash in my knee repaired, and while i could walk, stairs/curbs required care and Nicola ensured I could go at a pace that didn't cause me pain but also didn't hold back the rest of the group - which in one case involved using an elevator at the colosseum (which was a cool experience as well). The tour itself was great. Nicola was very knowledgable and entertaining in his narrative of the Colosseum and the areas around it. We are english speakers and his english was great - very easy to understand. He also ensured we all got the best photos of our group (he took several great snaps with our phones!). Our "family" group included my spouse's 25 yr old son who also enjoyed every moment of the tour. In fact, the tour identifying sticker "Show Me Italy" was stuck to the outside of his Airpod case even as we flew home! The tour was $ well spent. Bravo Nicola!

I booked and paid for a semi private tour (up to 10 people), but Show me Italy put us in a tour of 23 people. When I questioned the cost difference, the tour operator 'Show me Italy' (Sergo) said I would have to get a refund from Get Your Guide, which is the app I booked the tour through. Also, the tour guide Lorenzo did not mention nor take us up to Palantine Hill, which was to be included in the tour. The tour ran late because the guide talked a lot, and the lady who monitors the Colosseum underground tours had to continually rush him along. I booked a 10:30 am start time for the tour but Show Me Italy changed it to 11:15am. I was told the reason was because the Colosseum administration changed the start time due to overcrowding of the monument. Lorenzo didn't even take us into the Colosseum until 1pm. Be sure to know what you paid for and question the tour operator if you don't get it.

We payed more to have a small group experience (up to 10 ppl said our booking confirmation; max 13 ppl says the description). They didn't which group to put us in. We ended up in a group of 25. Our first guide led us to the Colosseum line-upand then we had to find the "archaeologist. She was nice but confused and said we overpaid for one of her tours. We tried to call the office but that failed. So, we followed this giant group. The sound would cut out because we were so far behind her. Apparently all her groups are 25+. Needless to say, we were disappointed. We did not get what we payed for.

I think it's worth paying a bit more for a more intimate experience by having fewer people in the group. Our guide, Yumi (or Fumie as the Italians pronounce it), was professional, funny and would take time to explain the history and importance behind places or objects we passed by. She also had us use imagination to make the whole tour more engaging. Not sure why, but there was a bit of issue with our skip-the-line tickets so we had to line up with other groups but thankfully, the line moved pretty quick. I also wish that Yumi would give us more time to take photos here and there but overall the tour wasn't rushed.

Scott was exceptional. Tailored his delivery of content and pace perfectly to our group, and because of this, we actually ended up with far more than we had expected in our trip. We learned so much, because Scott was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history here, and just a genuinely good dude. Keep working on those jokes, Scott.

It was a shambles and totally unorganized. Don't bother booking this tour! Two days before our tour we received an email changing the time from 2.45 to 1.30. We had no choice to rebook a different time or received a refund. We changed our plans to get there at the new allocated time. A new meeting point was also given due to a bike tour, which meant all the roads were closed. We had trouble finding the 'Show me Italy' team and we know other group members did too. We waited for 60 minutes before the start of our tour. We were given individual tickets (with the time of 2pm) and told to go in by ourselves. A further delay occurred inside as waited for a guide. We felt it was rushed and not value for money. You are better off buying a ticket and an audio. Overall

Myself and my two daughters 26 & 28 enjoyed this tour immensely, the tour reps were easy to find and Lorenzo our Guide was professional, passionate and knowledgeable. We felt we were being swept along back into history and although there was a lot of walking (those with mobility issues may have struggled) we all felt we had really immersed ourselves into ancient Rome by the time we had finished. We talked for ages afterwards about what we had seen and learnt - a memorable experience and we would say that it is essential to do a tour like this around the coliseum and archaeological park.
