Our tour guide was Isadora. She met us at the designated plaza right on time. The tour was everything we looked for when we booked it. She took us to have a typical Italian breakfast - espresso and a little rice pudding cake. She then took us through the market. We stopped at multiple stalls to learn about the famous products (parmigiano reggiano, balsamic vinegar) and the various pasta, how they are made, etc. And of course, we were tasting and eating all along the way. Isadora was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the culture, history, etc. We ended the tour at a tavern that interestingly only served drinks. Customers bring their own food. Isadora was prepared and brought out all the cured meats, cheese, and we had a great time chatting and learning all about the history of such taverns. Overall it was a fantastic, educational, and tasty tour! Thank you Isadora!

Best way to taste Bolonia! Excellent tour, our guide isadora was knowledgeable and fun, she shared everything about the local gastronomy and gave us plenty of recommendations. The food was the best, we tried everything from a local pastry to parmesan mortadella tagliatelle different wines.. I was so full at the end! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get the best knowledge and the best food when in bologna.

The tour was a great. It included different stops, starting with coffee and pastry, then small bites and wine, but ending with a full meal of pasta. The local guide was both friendly and passionate, and provided a great introduction to local food culture.

I loved this tour! I liked that it started in the morning and we got to experience such a variety from coffee to parmigiano reggiano to amazing mortadella to tortelloni to local fruit to raviole (typical Bologna biscuit). And our guide, Benedetta, was so incredible and knowledgeable and have us so much local insight. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

We loved every single minute of this tour! The guide (can't remember her name...sorry!) was entertaining and she shared a lot of family stories! The market visit has been the highlight of the tour, love the vendors interaction and the parmigiano tasting was top! Well done Devour Bologna!

We had a wonderful tour of Bologna with Bernadetta learning all about the local food traditions. Even though the tour started at 10 am were not hungry for dinner and had some more of the delightful fruit that we tasted in the market on one of the stops. There was so much information and food to eat - highly recommend the tour and would definitely use Devour Tours again - we had to change the date of our original booking and it was super easy to do on their website!

A friend and I enjoyed this tour on a rainy day in Bolonga. Our guide, Margherita was great. Very engaging and knowledgeable. All the places we visited were delicious. The tour, length and price point are well worth it. Very much recommend this as a fun way to spend the afternoon and fun way to see the city!

This tour was a great experience! Our guide, Benedetta, was knowledgeable about art and food which made the tour very interesting. We had soooo much food, I was very full and didn’t need a breakfast or lunch this day. If you’re in Bologna and want to try some of the specialties of the city, this is the way to go! Great value for the price as you get a ton of food!

Met our guide Beneditta at the main square and headed to our first place a few yards away at the oldest coffee shop in Bologna called Gamberini since 1907 and had a coffee and a local small sweet item to kick things off and wet our whistle’s. We then headed to a local indoor market and visited a local authentic master cheese maker and got to sample some of his lovely Cheeses. The owner of this Cheese shop is a monster of a man and stands at around 6ft 9 with hands like shovels and he was very hospitable. We toured the local vendors shops within the market and snacked on the amazing sweet Italian tomatoes from the fruiterer and some gorgeous handmade Pasta that was made in front of us to devour. We walked through some stunning little side streets at the outdoor market and got to see the various vendors with the huge meat joints hanging in their shops and walked between the many giant fruit sellers stalls. Our guide Beneditta who was a lovely lady full of knowledge and passionate about all things food. She was on hand throughout the tour to educate us on the food and history and she was very warm and friendly and spoke perfect English. We went to a very old pub on the tour and sat inside and drank a sparkling white wine Osteria del Sol, a local wine and it was accompanied with some traditional Italian cured meats and Spiders web shaped bread that Beneditta brought from the market earlier and we listened to some of her stories and knowledge. We also went to a Trattoria and sat down to a meal of amazing local and traditional Bologna Ragu,Wow what a treat that Ragu danced on your tastebuds and left its memory on your palate for hours to come, divine!!! It was accompanied with some more wine a lovely glass of red wine Rubicaia Sangiovese Romagna Doc. A very enjoyable smooth red local to the area. This tour was the highlight of my visit to Bologna and the food & wines and local guide were second to non and this is a must tour for anyone looking to sample the best delectable food from Bologna. Don’t miss this tour, get booked on and you will not be left disappointed. Grazie mille Beneditta ci hai reso molto felici.
