Shopping and cooking and going to Gilda’s home was an absolute pleasure. We all learned so many great cooking tips -the Sicilian way! Loved her home and family and the entire experience.

Private walking tour by Biagio, a native of Syracuse. Visited out-of-the-way places that one would not normally see. Visited the local market and learned a lot about local produce and cuisine. It was an unusual, pleasurable, 3-hour experienceTwell worth the price Ended the tour at a Wine Bar for tasting, paid for by Viator, which was an unexpected treat

Our guide, Biagio, took us on a walking tour of Ortigia that was amazing! He was born in Siracusa and has lived there his entire life. He knew all of the history and the best places to have coffee, a snack or eat. He’s passionate about his city and I see why, it’s a beautiful place. We ended our tour at Taverna Giudecca where Antonio and family served us wine and beautiful food that was AMAZING!

Our tour guide Biagio was such an informative and knowledgeable person he made our time with him very interesting. We got to know each other in two days and would consider him a friend. Next time we come back I would hope to see him again.

Michele was an excellent guide. He knew the area well and made the touring very enjoyable. He gave us just enough info to help us understand how many historic changes in the city. His pace was perfect and the 2-hour length worked well. The added wine tasting and light food were a nice touch. We would recommend him to anyone interested in a great private tour. Tour was perhaps more pricy than other 2-3 hour city walking tours, but worth it!

We had a great tour! Paolo, our guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly and told us great stories. He lead us to all great places in Siracusa. Wine and food afterwards were also very good. Friendly host.

We did this tour on the day we arrived in Ortigia. Our guide was Marco and he was brilliant! We had a lovely walk around Ortigia, Marco told us many stories about the history of the island and Sircuse, including the mythology. He was knowledgeable and passionnate, a very engaging storyteller. We felt like we understood the place better after the tour. As it was winter, it was dark when we started the tour (5.15pm) so were worried we would miss out on some things, but we didn’t, everywhere we went had enough lighting to be able to see what was important. We particularly enjoyed visiting the unusual cathedral which Marco gave us a little tour around inside. We chose the option including food tasting and wine so Marco dropped us at a little cafe at the end of the tour where we were given a platter of Sicilian foods which was very yummy! Plenty of food to fill us up and we sampled 2 different Sicilian red wines. I would highly recommend this tour and I’d recommend doing it at the beginning of your stay in Siracusa/Ortigia like we did to really get a feel for the island.

Marco of Prestelli Tours took us on a visit to the Siracusa Archaeological Park and then a walk through Ortigia, the "old town" island area of Sircusa. We were interested in learning about the ancient history of Siracusa, and Marco delivered. Marco was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to patiently answer our questions. We greatly enjoyed the historical facts and legends that Marco told about the history of Siracusa and the artifacts we visited. We highly recommend this tour and Marco.

Marco was so knowledgable about Ortigia! I studied abroad in Ortigia three years ago for six weeks, so I knew a lot of the history but there is always more to learn. Marco answered all of our questions and showed us all around the island. His English was great as well! The food and wine tasting is worth the extra money. We tasted 5 different Sicilian wines and got a traditional Sicilian aperitif of cheese, olives, and meats. We were so full afterwards that we didn't even need dinner!
