The vernaccia di San gimignano tour was amazing. Pierpaolo, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and personable. He made sure our experience was top notch all the way. The wines we tasted were delicious and the two wineries we visited were intimate and filled with wine facts. The Tuscan scenery was so beautiful and the time in san gimignano was so cool. I highly recommend this company, Pierpaolo, and the wine!

This day has been the highlight of our trip so far. Matteo was superb - very knowledgeable about all wine and not just those we tasted today. We were picked up on time and had a pleasant drive to San Gimignano for an hour's visit - nice stroll around a beautiful village on our own. The first vineyard was great, lovely meal, tasted 5 wines and had a tour of the winemaking area. The second vineyard was also good with an informative tour which included a further 3 wines to taste. Overall, our day was brilliantly led by Matteo (a trained sommelier) and we would thoroughly recommend it.

An absolute gem of an experience! Matteo was our guide and he was exceptionally warm and friendly as well as extremely knowledgeable about wines and the region. He shared many details about both in addition to the state of olive cultivation, some history about San Gimignano, and just about anything we asked about! He interacted wonderfully with the hosts of the two wineries that we visited and gave some detailed explanations of the processes used to create the various wines. His ability to adjust the tastings to our individual levels while keeping them fun an interesting made the day so memorable! Our hosts were also so gracious and took wonderful care of us. Lunch was great as well. The whole day ended up being the highlight of our trip to Italy and one we will be talking about for years!

If I could give zero I would. The ticket was e mailed and texted with the wrong time, 3 hours later than the tour started. We got a call from the operator saying we were late. The day before I called several times to confirm time and location and no one answered so I followed the time on the ticket. So we were unable to go and have requested a refund. This was supposed to be a highlight of our trip and we were very very disappointed.

This was the favorite day of our trip! Matteo is an amazing guide. His knowledge of Tuscany and wine is superior. He is friendly, timely, attentive and being from Florence he has a personal connection to the area. The two wineries were the perfect combination.

Mateo was amazing!! so many great things to say about him and the tour! He was on time. He is super friendly. He knows a lot about wine. He is really good at adjusting to the tour to you. My husband did the same Somm program Mateo did so they had a lot to talk about. For myself, I work at a winery in Napa, so he engaged me on the differences. And out daughter, is still new to formal wine tasting - so Mateo did a great job in walking her though the methodology. Since he is a notive of Florence, we herd a lot about the history and geography. It was great to go to just a couple of small places. The lunch. we had was superb! We had such a good time with Mateo that we tried to book a second wine tour with him, but alas, he was booked up - don't wait! Book with him early!

From the beginning of the drive to the end of our tour, Lorenzo was great to chat with and was extremely knowledgeable about wines and Tuscany! First, we visited Fattoria San Michele a Torri and tried Chianti and Chianti Classico, their student intern was so friendly and gave us a great background about the winery. Next, we went to Cappella di Sant’Andre and tried Vernaccia di San Gimignano including a delicious lunch, their main associate and owner were very kind. We even stopped in San Gimignano for a walk. Both wineries were great and their passion for wine definitely shows! Would recommend booking this tour for a relaxing day in Tuscany. Thanks again Lorenzo for being an awesome guide!

We cannot recommend this tour enough! Pros: small group (6), comfortable/nice van, beautiful landscape during the drive, two great wineries (plus olive oil!), visit to San Gimignano- such a neat place, great guide (Matteo), yummy food, got to drink whites & Reds- best of both worlds! Cons: none unless you consider we wanted it to last longer! We felt like we did a lot in the time we had- really liked the two small wineries. Wish we could have had more time in San Gimignano but that’s not a complaint by any means. As with many tours, the guide can make or break it. We were a little nervous about having a sommelier, but Matteo made learning about wine fun and simple! Very interesting guy- speaks 5 languages and tells some great stories and information about the regions we covered. Very non-pretentious, good sense of humor and above all professional. He really wanted to ensure all in the group enjoyed their day. No pressure to buy wine, either (but we all did- and olive oil!). All of the food we were served at the winery was delicious! Highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time on the Vernaccia di San Gimignano tour with Matteo as our guide. He is a sommelier and knew his stuff and is very funny/easy to talk to. He gave us great snippets on our drive through Tuscany. We stopped by two local wineries, both were gorgeous, to sample wines and had a delicious meal at the second winery. My husband and I are wine novices and Matteo taught us how to sample and taste wines, guiding us on what notes to taste and how to pair wines with different foods. Overall, we had a great time and learned a lot!
