Our tour of Genoa with Karl Ziegler was nothing short of amazing! My husband and I were visiting the area because of our Mediterranean cruise and throughout the excursion Karl provided us with the best tour experience we've ever had. His friendliness and engaging storytelling kept us entertained throughout the entire tour. Karl's knowledge of Genoa's history, coupled with visits to historic buildings, enriched our understanding of the city. Sampling local delights like pesto, focaccia, and gelato was a delightful bonus. Karl Ziegler truly made our time in Genoa unforgettable. Highly recommend his tours!!

Problem was that Tripadvisor did not confirm the guided tour. When I had had no word back from Tripadvisor, I called my daughter in Australia to check if anything had been taken from my credit card account - no. Eventually Karl phoned to ask where we were but we had lost hours while he waited for us. We had no idea where we were to meet, should the tour have been confirmed, by the way. Fail on the part of Tripadvisor. But Karl was BRILLIANT, when we did eventually catch up with him. He had studied political science at university and was full of fascinating facts and history of Genoa. He also took us to some great cafes and food stalls and was very likeable as well. He met an acquaintance who showed us his apartment, with ceilings made with wood from abandoned sailing ships in the 14th century. What a privilege. Sue

Karl is a delightful guide, a treasure trove of Genoa's history, and THE person to lead you around the city! He shared centuries of history, gave us tours around and through many places we could not have accessed on our own, and treated us to some true culinary delights! Sidling up to focaccerias, cafes, museums, etc, Karl is your clearly well-known and well-loved fast pass to all of the things that make Genoa delightful.

We really learned a lot and saw things we never would have seen had we not taken this tour. Karl was wonderful. So knowledgeable and entertaining. Good food, hidden gems in the heart of the city. It was very hot, but that’s summer in Italy!

Karl is an outstanding tour guide. I looked through a lot of tours for this part of our trip because we have been to Genoa several times. The thing that made me chose this tour had a lot to do with the reviews. Especially their description of Karl. They were spot on. Karl is all you could want in a tour guide. Professional, knowledgeable and he pays attention to every detail. We adored our tour. I highly recommend him

Absolutely the best tour!! We saw things we never would have found or had access to on our own. Karl’s knowledge of the history and politics of Genoa is extensive and really brought the city to life! Food was amazing and it was the most fantastic day!

We loved our tour. We could have wandered around Genova for days to see so many interesting sites. Karl is a high energy guy that loves Genova. He even extended the tour by an hour to show us some extra stuff and give us advice on a self directed tour we could do. Over all all four of us loved the tour. It is an excellent start to any stay in Genova. We had a little difficulty finding him in the busy train station. Try to arrive 10 minutes early

Karl was awesome. He was so knowledgeable about the city and took me to so many off the beaten path amazing places. We had a leisurely lunch and saw several beautiful churches. It was my best day in Europe. I enjoyed it so much. Debra
