Tour was excellent - locations were fantastic and our guide was extremely well versed and passionate. Tour had participants from four different language group which required our guide to repeat his message four times at every stop. I can see how this benefits the tour operator but makes for a very slow moving tour. Other area for improvement - bus would get super hot (it was a 30 degree day) when we were touring various sites…would be good if air conditioning could be turned on shortly before we return to the tour bus. Definitely recommend this tour…but ideally with not more than two languages covered.

The elderly guide was too slow walking and stopped too frequently to engage with locals, children etc.

Wonderful tour to Syracuse and Noto. Christie was a very knowledgeable tour guide who provided a wealth of information during the journey to both Syracuse and Noto and providing an interesting insight to the Greek Theatre and cave at Syracuse and the island of Ortigia - giving a deep background into the history of the locations we visited. Would recommend this tour as Christie's knowledge was invaluable.

Christian was a brilliant guide. We loved the well planned itinerary and the interesting sites and history behind each one of them.

I will NOT recommend this tour. I have done many tours with different companies and I have never had an issue missing a tour. The communication with this company was terrible. On the date of the tour, my family and I waited for 25 min at the meeting point and the tour bus was not there. What is WORSE, no body answered my calls. The agency Viator tried to help me getting a refund from the operator but they declined. Don't go with this company, they take your money then they leave hanging in there when you need them. BAD BUSINESS.

We just loved the day from start to finish! It was a long day but Christie, our Tour Guide, was fantastic! His knowledge of everything Sicilian was second to none. We are particularly intested in geology and we learnt much more from Christie than we had from the Tour Guide who had taken us up Etna earlier in the week!

Visiting Syracuse and Noto was great, the tour company, however, was not good at all. They left me at a rest stop (the bus took off without me ahead of schedule while I was in the restroom), and then acted like it was my fault. I’ve gone on many dozens of tours around the world and never had this happen. A local woman had to help me get in touch with the company to eventually get picked up again rather than left stranded. Very unprofessional and negative experience.

This was the worst tour I have ever taken. First of all, you will not be with max 15 participants as promised, but 50! This means a LOT of time spent on picking up and dropping off people. Secondly, our guide (an older man) was terrible and the bus driver could not speak a word of English. The tour guide: - came 30 minutes too late himself and then at ease goes to get a beverage, while the whole bus was waiting on him. I have never seen such a rude thing before. - talks way too much through the microphone, and everything is weird jokes and useless info in 3 different languages at once. All useful information was lost and very unclear. The time to be back at the bus was never clear at all! Also, he cannot answer any questions. - he walks so slow that we just went to explore the cities on our own. The tour is really better without this guide. - last but not least, he shows inappropriate behavior: stops the tour, walks away and starts walking behind a girl in a dress. Very creepy. Why you should not go on this tour, but book with a different tour agent: - way too pricy for what you get and the claims such as max 15 participants are simply not true. - useless and inappropriate tour guide who cannot answer a single question. - super slow walking and vague information. I hope this helps other travellers. Really Siracusa and Noto are beautiful, but this tour ruins your whole day. Final note: if you're a eu citizen under 25, don't pay the full price (15 eu per person) for the archaeological sites in Siracusa to the guide! You get a reduce price if you buy your own tickets, which is smart anyway since you don't want to walk with the tour guide!

I had the pleasure to be guided on this journey from Taormina with a guide named Christie-his knowledge on not just this trip but it seemed like all European history was amazing. He made this trip a true joy

I am glad that this tour is offered from Taormina as it was much easier to take a tour than to arrange transportation by train/bus on my own to both Syracuse and Noto. In addition, the tour guides were knowledgeable and offered considerable historical information. Having said that, the tour was deficient in some areas. In particular, the tour bus was completely filled about 50 people so quite a bit of time was taken picking up and then in the evening, dropping off passengers in several locations. Next, the same tour was being offered in three languages so we had to sit through the same explanation three times. Worse yet, sometimes, people chatted during the explanations that were not in their language which made it hard to follow what the guide was saying. It was hot in the archeological park in Syracuse that day, apparently not an unusual event, so waiting around while Santos repeated the same explanations three times was non-ideal. If he had given a hint as to where the next stop was we could have sought out some shade during the second and third explanations, but we were left clueless. Alternatively, two guides should have been provided for such a large group. We were led on a walking tour to Ortygia, but the guide walked very fast, the city was crowded, and it was difficult to follow the group since we didn't know who they were, which led to some anxiety that could have been avoided by the guide walking a bit slower. Then, Santos led us on a walk along the water in Ortygia, which would have been lovely on a cool day, but instead was unpleasant in the blistering heat. Why he didn't lead us along the shaded area across the street is anyone's guess. Many of us just deflected at that point. The free time in Ortygia was pleasant. The hour in Noto was plenty of time to see the fine architecture on the main street.
