Had a great day out on this tour. Driver was friendly and helpful - met us at our accommodation and gave clear instructions at each stop. Lunch spot was yummy and affordable.

Amazing experience with terrific driver and guide. So much history in this magnificent setting. Adorable goats, interesting modern art sprinkled in, easy paths to navigate. Even the food truck had delicious offerings. Can’t miss this if you are in Sicily.

It was a great trip. Alessio knows a lot and speaks a few languages. We had a multilingual group, and he made sure everybody understood where we are and what it is, including legends and stories. Not a dull moment. Beware that in November tourist season ends and a lot of places are closing, food vendors by the attraction points including: if you have diet restrictions, might be a good idea to grab some food with you.

Basically a cab service (which is fine). We had 2 1/2 hours at Agrigento and an hour at Piazza Armerino. Both were well worth visiting. Would recommend buying Valley of Temples tickets in advance as there was quite a queue.

This tour was outstanding! Alessio picked us up directly from our hotel and explained how the day would pan out. This was a very informative tour, the valley of the temples really was a highlight of our holiday. The second part of the tour took us to Piazza Armerina to view some of the mosaics and the Villa Romana del Casale! As a note, the parc for valley of the temples was between 10-12 euros per person for entry.

We were lucky enough to source Alessio for our private tour for two couples. His reputation as excellent and experience tour-guide is well-earned - he is thoroughly personable & charming, locally born & raised and highly educated in history, architecture, European languages & philology. The drive was smooth and skilled in busy traffic initially and on return in rush hour - to drive so well but to simultaneously be confidently imparting a wide range of insights into the varying landscapes before us and life for Sicilians as it’s led now, and in years gone by. Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples was everything it’s vaunted to be - and Alessio answered questions pertinently and carefully. His own questioning of the various history-book theories of the provenance and dedications of each temple made Alessio’s tour extra fascinating! Off then to “the middle of nowhere” to discover the extraordinary extensive Roman Villa at Piazza Armerina…. and a brilliant array of mosaicked floors in every portion of this stunning find. Again, Alessio’s guidance was a huge help to making sense of the scenes depicted. Our only regret is that at no point did we see any display boards or video to attempt indicate the original bright colouration of the mosaics - something the site management could easily set up for visitors. A massive thank you to our guide and tour company owner.

Super !

It is impossible to go through Sicily and not visit the Valle del templi in Agrigento. It is a magnificent place with a history yet to be discovered. UNESCO heritage and above all an incredible testimony of the Greek printing press on this Bedda island. The tour offers all the comfort and experience and knowledge of professional guides willing to clarify any questions, in an atmosphere of trust. Alessio is a professional guide, gentle and always ready to offer a diversity of knowledge about the culture, art and idiosyncrasy of this land. Highly recommended not only for history lovers, but for those who appreciate beauty.
