Overpriced. Nice driver and overall experience however I would have thought a glass of wine would be included with lunch.

Gioberto was a fantastic host. He took us to off the tour places to see extra sights. The wineries were very special great wine and good food. Would definitely do this again and highly recommend it to others. Well worth the cost.

This was one of the highlights of my visit to Italy that I was looking forward to and the tour did not disappoint. Our tour started as only a three person tour, that included my wife, another person, myself and the local specialist, Masha. Our drive was about two hours long and we stopped midway in small town that had a medieval castle, Monteriggioni, that had a medieval castle. When we reached Montalcino, a town/area I was most looking forward to in Italy, we stopped at the first of two locally run family wineries. The first winery was Azienda Agricola La Melina. We were able to taste wine from the barrel and then have a lunch that was made by the family that included some sliced meats, cheese and papadella with wild boar that was to die for. Included was tasting the Brunello and Rosso do Montalcino and a Sangiaveses do Toscana. We were also able to taste their olive oil and grappa. We then took a walking tour of Montalcino that is a terrific medieval town on top aof a huge hill surrounded by vineyards. Masha was able to talk about the history of the town and we walked at our own pace. I asked to go into one of the Enotecas, in which I was able to browse the wines , tasting as I went , while the ladies talked outside. After the tour of Montalcino, we went to another family winery, Poggio Rubino, in which we had another wine tasting after seeing their wine operations and wine cellar. The wines were very nice and showed the difference between south facing vineyards and north facing vineyards. Needless to say I have sent home a case of wine from both wineries and the enotecas in Montalcino. Bravo Masha and Viator for this tour
