Loved this tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand. We had a small group and enjoyed our boat tour to Burano and Murano. We really enjoyed the behind the scene tour on the streets of Burano and the beautiful little colorful homes and village. Murano glass making demonstration was fantastic and we loved getting a little time after to grab some trinkets to take home. The wine tasting at the old monastery was interesting, delicious and a very beautiful spot! We were so very glad we took this tour! Definitely a highlight of Venice!

The Burano visit was wonderful - a hidden jewel - our guide Emmautela was great - the glassblowing demo was very nice

Great day out. Really interesting boat ride with commentary from our guide . Burano was amazing. We walked all around and saw the lace making. The visit to Murano and the glass making was brilliant . It really was fantastic to see the glass making. We didn’t really have enough time to get some lunch although we probably spent too long in the linen/lace shop. The only disappointment was the wine tasting at Venissa. Although an interesting visit the tour description clearly states 2 glasses of wine with snacks. It was actually a very small glass and no snacks . The wine was excellent though. When I challenged our guide she stated ‘no only one!). I think this isn’t right as clearly we should have had 2 glasses and this trip was not exactly cheap at well over £100 pp. Apart from this the tour was very good.

We took the half day tour of Burano, Murano and wine tasting at Venissa. Our guide was fluent in English, a knowledgeable local, and funny to boot. Our group was relatively small, less than 20, so it didn’t feel like we were a horde invading the islands. Our guide treated us to a traditional Venitian cookie on Burano and gave us lots of history of the area. The only thing that would have made it better is if we had more free time on each island to be able to purchase some of the lovely things they made and maybe get a bite to eat. We took the tour on our 30th wedding anniversary. It was a lovely way to spend part of our special day.

We booked this tour through the JW Marriott Venice. Everything was great until it got to the useless 45 minutes talk during the so called wine tasting. The wine was salty and pretty bad and the wine guy spoke for an excruciating 45 minutes while the tour guide was MIA (nowhere to be found). However, the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. The visit to Murano was extremely short and when I provided feedback to her that 45 minutes for the wine tasting was a waste of time and that time instead should be allotted for Murano, her reply was that was the way the itinerary was. I would highly recommend a visit to both islands but SKIP the wine piece.

Overall, Darya was a very friendly and sweet tour guide but the trip itself is not very informative. She informed us about the history of Venice during the first hour while we were on the boat to Burano but did not say much for the rest of the trip. We were mainly taken to places to look around and shop but not much information was given on the islands. She let us “explore” the area (if 1 hour is enough for each island and time for you to grab lunch and eat) but didn’t give any recommendations for things to do or see on each island. Also, there is some misleading information on the website. We were only given 1 glass of wine to sample instead of 2. In the email, it mentioned that we should wear modest clothing while at St. Francis Abbey but we weren’t guided to the site. The tour finishes near San Marco Square and you are free to go where you want. It would be best to clarify that we wouldn’t be entering the church together because we thought it was included in the tour. It’s your typical pick up and dump kind of tour where you could have done it on your own time with separate transportation.

Loved our guide! He was friendly and informative! The glass factory and lace shop were both great experiences however we were disappointed with only one tasting (3 oz) of wine at the vineyard since the tour promised two glasses of wine and snacks! We had zero snacks… It also felt slightly rushed. Only 15 minutes to browse the shops in Murano! But the transportation was great and the order of visits was great and the tour guide was great!

I hesitated before booking this tour for myself and my teenage daughter, as it seemed like a lot of money to pay, but I am so glad that we went for it. Our group was 6 people in total and we had the most amazing guide, Barbara, whose English was impeccable, had a fantastic sense of humour and is born and bred Venetian so was a font of knowledge. We went to places we would never have gone independently, and particularly enjoyed the Franciscan Monestary. 100% definitely worth doing. We had a really great day.

We've been to Venice before (in 2016) and did the Venice in a Day Tour with Take Walks, which was WONDERFUL. Since we already did the main sights, we knew this time around we could take another tour with Take Walks that focused on some of the lesser-known attractions. This tour was one of our highlights of the entire trip! Our guide Emmanuella was amazing and our group of 12 included a lot of fun people that we enjoyed meeting and spending the day with. You'll travel in your own private boat that is extremely comfortable that makes the entire trip very easy and stress-free. Fantastic deal for this full-day, comprehensive tour of Venice's outer islands. You get to see some of the more well-known islands as well as some hidden treasures: (in order visited) San Francesco del Deserto, Mazzorbo, Burano, Torcello, and Murano. This was such a special experience, especially San Francesco del Deserto, which is not just available for the public to visit. My great Uncle is a Franciscan Friar so this held extra meaning for me. The wine tasting on Mazzorbo was very unique and in a beautiful setting. We were not super interested in lace so on Burano we explored a bit past where all the tourists were and got some fantastic photos of the colorful buildings (and gelato!). If it is nice out I highly recommend climbing the tower on Torcello - thanks to Emmanuella for convincing us - the views were well worth it! The glassmaker we visited on Murano was so talented and it was very cool to see him make more than one item. No hard sell or pushiness to buy, which was very appreciated, but they had some beautiful pieces that we picked up for a steal. All in all, take this tour! The rest of my family was kicking themselves for not going with us :)

I loved the tour and Emanuela was fantastic, really knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour. It was my third trip to Venice, so I was looking forward to doing something different, and Walks delivered! The visit to the monastery at San Francesco and the wine tasting at Venissa were particular highlights.
