Your Itinerary

Piazza San Marco

Piazza San Marco often known in English as St Mark's Square, is the principal public square of Venice, Italy, where it is generally known just as la Piazza ("the Square"). All other urban spaces in the city (except the Piazzetta and the Piazzale Roma) are called campi ("fields"). The Piazzetta ("little Piazza/Square") is an extension of the Piazza towards the lagoon in its south east corner (see plan). The two spaces together form the social, religious and political centre of Venice and are commonly considered together. This article relates to both of them. A remark usually attributed (though without proof) to Napoleon calls the Piazza San Marco "the drawing room of Europe"

Doge's Palace

The Doge's Palace is a palace built in Venetian Gothic style, and one of the main landmarks of the city of Venice in northern Italy. The palace was the residence of the Doge of Venice, the supreme authority of the former Venetian Republic, opening as a museum in 1923. Today, it is one of the 11 museums run by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.

Canal Grande

The Grand Canal (Venetian Canal Grando, known in Venetian dialect Canałasso, Canalazzo) is the main canal that crosses the historic center of Venice. About 3800 meters long (30 to 70 m wide, medium depth 5 m), it divides the old town into two parts, tracing an inverted "S", which goes from the bridge of the Liberty Bridge to the San Marco Basin. It is flanked along its length by magnificent buildings, most of the centuries between the twelfth and eighteenth centuries, which manifest the well-being and art created by the Republic of Venice, making it one of the symbols of the city. Every year the Venetians relive centuries-old traditions of the Serenissima, such as the Historical Regatta.

Ponte di Rialto

The Rialto Bridge is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Connecting the sestieri of San Marco and San Polo, it has been rebuilt several times since its first construction as a pontoon bridge in the 12th century, and is now a significant tourist attraction in the city.

Ponte dei Sospiri

The Bridge of Sighs is a bridge in Venice, Italy. The enclosed bridge is made of white limestone, has windows with stone bars, passes over the Rio di Palazzo, and connects the New Prison to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace.

Isola di Burano - World Heritage Site

Burano is known for its lace work and its small, brightly painted houses, which are popular with artists. The colours of the houses follow a specific system, originating from the golden age of its development. If someone wishes to paint their home, one must send a request to the government, who will respond by making notice of the certain colours permitted for that lot. The island is considered among the ten most colorful places in the world.

Isola di Murano

Murano's reputation as a center for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic ordered glassmakers to move their furnaces to Murano in 1291. Murano glass is still associated with Venetian glass. Murano's glassmakers held a monopoly on high-quality glassmaking for centuries, developing or refining many technologies. Today, the artisans of Murano still employ these centuries-old techniques, crafting everything from contemporary art glass and glass jewellery to Murano glass chandeliers and wine stoppers.

I sent you a detailed note regarding this inadequate tour yesterday and also copied it to Romeatours The provider. We had one day to explore Venice and it was a total waste. Our guide was physically ill and did not have any information to share with us. The itinerary was what we wanted and it did not gain us entrance into any of the sights we walked by. Our guide was untrained and not licensed, a young student, newly arrived Venice who was not given the proper tools educationally to lead a tour. He was very nice, but inadequately prepared to give this tour! We are hoping we do not catch his flu/cold/possible Covid symptoms. What sad beginning. I would like a complete refund as our day was a total waste of precious time.

Our guide was not very knowledgeable. Most questions asked, he did not know. And the questions he did answer were very basic. The tour said full day but it could have been wrapped up in less than 2 hours! Total rip off… didn’t feel like I got value for money. He did accommodate us by taking lots of pictures for us.

We had a great private family tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and flexible. We experienced and learned so much! Wonderful day…thanks so much!!

Recommendation for us to visit a museum called Ca Peraro. Was great and we would not have known about it otherwise.

Tour guide Kim knew nothing about Venice. Website states admission tickets are included. But, they are NOT. Arrived @ Doge Palace was told we had to buy our own ticket! She made no effort to handle problem! Will never use your company again!!!

It was an incredible day, our guide was the perfect one for us!! We enjoyed it we will go back again

The tour guide didn’t know much. The tour was boring and we had to constantly ask her questions to get the background story of the places we went. Overall don’t do it not worth it

Frank_c

The knowledge that your guide had of the city, I loved the historical explanations and the personalized way in which the tour was conducted

This was definitely not a tour! I The young man was sweet, but not trained to give a tour. We hiked across Venice for multiple hours, only stopping when we requested to do so. He gave no info, only answering questions when we asked (often googling the answers, or indicating he didn't know). He was a student, only in Venice for a few months. This wasn't his fault but the tour operators. He didn't even know what sites were listed as part of the tour! We will be requesting a refund.

First of all not worth the money all we did was walk around with and 18-year-old that had just arrived in Venice a year ago. Not experienced at all. Also, I was charge 3 times more than other people in the group. The young man was very and a Gentleman but was not a tour guide.
