Taormina

We will pick you up at your accommodation between Taormina and nearby towns.

Piano Provenzana

A stop of about 1 hour to admire the last side flow of the volcano. Possibility of shopping in the various stores that are near the ski resort.

Monti Sartorius

We will take you to a buttonhole of 5 side craters formed in 1865. A walk will take us to the top of these craters. Between the walk and explanations, the time we will take will be about 2 hours.

Grotta delle nevi

We will visit a lava flow tunnel equipped with a helmet and flashlight.

Gambino Winery

Arriving at the winery we will have about 2 hours to enjoy good wine and a typical lunch.

Taormina

We will drive you back to your accommodation safely.

Such a wonderful experience touring Mt. Etna and the winery. Vito was a wonderful guide, we learned so much about the history of Mt. Etna. The hike to the view was wonderful, the views were spectacular. We loved the winery, both the food and wine were delicious.

The tour guide Alex was so kind and knowledgeable about volcanos. You could tell her was very passionate about the experience and he also cared a lot about the safety of his tours. Gambino winery has amazing views and every better food and wine!

Quite possibly the best guided tour we’ve ever been on. What Alex doesn’t know about volcanoes and lava just isn’t worth knowing. His enthusiasm and easy way with everyone just makes this day such fun and so interesting from beginning to end. Communication prior to the tour was spot on with regard to pick up and just the best day. Wine tasting at Gambino vineyards was fabulous, great food, great wine and great value for money. Thankyou!

This Mt. Etna and wine tour was the absolute highlight of our trip to Sicily! Our guide Alex was very personable and knowledgable about volcanoes and the natural history of the area. The wine tour to Gambino vineyards included generous samplings of excellent wines paired with local fresh food. I forgot my jacket in the van at the end of the day and they kindly took the time to drive back the next day to return it to me. What wonderful kind service! If you want a superb tour of Etna and the local vineyard book with this company!

Truly excellent, booked this from home after reading the reviews on here and so pleased we did. A truly memorable day. Our tour guide, Alex, was really excellent. He was a passionate lover of the area, it’s nature and history and his delivery was informative, educational and humourous. He took great care to be inclusive of all the group’s abilities and needs. For example, I suffer horrid travel sickness so he kindly arranged with his colleague that I could sit in the front of the vehicle and even gave me a sick band for the day 😊 Thank you.

Vito was an incredible guide: not only knowledgeable, but personal and free with his opinions. This combination led to a tour that exceeded our needs and showcased a unique landscape and history. My seven-year-old braved the short hike up and around Etna's Sartorius Craters. Vito was reassuring and committed to safety - though an adult on our tour needed his help more than my daughter! Vito's relationships with local vendors and establishments helped pace the tour. We were fully caffeinated and never felt tires, despite the five hours together. We ended our tour at Gambino Wines (one of several the company rotates through). They treated us to a tasting of six(ish) wines, as well as a charcuterie of local cheeses, vegetables, and cured meets.

This was a fantastic trip thanks to two lovely tour guides - Vito & Alex. The bus was very comfortable and Vito was very engaging during the trip to Etna. The walk up to the craters was testing but well worth it. We got some fantastic views of a beautiful place. Alex was very informative and enthusiastic with his explanations along the way and both guides could not do enough to make it a very enjoyable trip. We then went to Gambino for the food and wine tasting which was also excellent. The vineyard is a stunning place, and their Etna wines are very nice. A superb day and a must if you are visiting Sicily! Thank you Vito & Alex!

We had an amazing day exploring Etna, the Lava Caves and a beautiful Vineyard on the slopes where we enjoyed lots of nice wine and Sicilian food. Our guide Alex was very passionate and knowledgeable about Etna and made our trip really memorable. Wear walking boots would be my advice and lots of layers as it gets warm/cold in places. Alex was an excellent tour guide. He is immensely interested in and knowledgeable about volcanoes so he was a wealth of information. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and exactly the perfect amount of solicitous (we are older). He was clearly paying close attention to our safety and well-being, but it was low-key. If you take this tour I think you should try to get Alex as your guide. I didn’t have the right shoes, but they had them to loan. They also offered extra jackets if we needed them. They had hiking sticks, helmets, and flashlights for us to use. The winery visit was excellent. It included a tour of the facility and a fabulous feast, and many generous samples of good wine. We were interested in both the volcano and the Etna wine, so it was a perfect tour for us.
