We looked at booking tickets for the Last Supper about three weeks out from our holiday and found it fully booked so bit the bullet and paid the extra to book a guided tour of the site and didn't regret it. Our guide Bivy met us outside beforehand and after a short delay we all entered. Bivy talked us through the history of the painting as well as that of the building and the restoration work over the years, fascinating. Was it expensive for a 45minute tour, yes, was it worth it, I think so.

Lovely short tour to see The Last Supper, and learn some history of the painting and church, and learn about Leonardo Da Vinci. We enjoyed the experience and Barbara was knowledge and fun.

Unfortunately, I am not able to give this review a thumbs up. Our tour was scheduled for 8:15am, and we were told to arrive at 8am. The weather was pouring down rain that morning, and we were unable to find a cab, thus walked 8/10 of a mile in the rain and were soaked to the bone. When we arrived we asked other tour groups if we were part of their tour the answer was no. We went to the ticket booth and showed our QR code, they would not allow us in. They told us our tour guide arrives at 8;13 with a white sign indicating the group and her identity. We could not find anyone. At 8:20 (or later) , someone approached us, without a sign and told us she was Barbara. By the time we got started, it was 8:30. I feel we were permitted in the space with the Last Supper for 10 minutes, then were escorted out into the adjacent room for more conversation. Then our tour ended. This was a very expensive tour, and I feel I would have gained the same experience with a larger group and a more responsible guide. The weather did not help matters, but Barbara should have been very prepared by arriving early and on time with a sign.

Male guide whisked us through tour. It felt rushed. He didn’t allow time at displays or spoke about one or two briefly. Spoke fast and difficult to understand at times. There was an elderly women in our small group of 4 people. Im positive she didn’t understand a word he said. Thick accent.
