Your Itinerary

Isola di Murano

Once onboard the boat, you will begin sailing heading to Murano, where you will stop for one hour and 15 minutes. Here you will have the chance to visit one of the island’s glassworks and attend a demonstration of a master glassmaker (lasting about 15 minutes). Alternatively - or to follow - you can walk to the lighthouse or opt for a visit to the iconic sights of Murano, such as the Basilica of Santi Maria and Donato, the Glass Museum and Palazzo da Mula.

Burano

The second stop of this day tour to the Venetian islands will be Burano with its colorful houses. In this hour and a half at your disposal, you can choose to visit some of the most interesting things like the leaning bell tower or the house of Bepi Suà, the Lace Museum which is housed in the historic Palazzo del Podestà of Torcello and which exhibits rare examples of this precious fabric, known and appreciated throughout the world.

Isola Torcello

The last stop will be Torcello, where the Venetian civilization was born: the first settlements date back to the 7th century when local folks sought refuge on the island to escape the Barbarians’ invasions. Today Torcello has just over 10 inhabitants but its historical and artistic testimonies make it a very popular destination for visitors from all over the world. We suggest you visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, the ruins of the Baptistery of San Giovanni Evangelista, ‘Attila’s Throne" and the Devil's Bridge, today still wrapped in a mysterious legend.

I enjoyed seeing the different cultures and their way of life. Since the third island was based on food, I would suggest that this island should be scheduled during a meal time.

Tourist trap, multi-lingual guide was cool but not much to see on the islands but more shops and a 30 second glass exhibition

For the most part from Island to Island okay. The return trip the boat did not dock where we started as promised. The boat docked at least three miles away on a Island with the only way off was a 20 minute walk to a bridge. Once over the bridge we were at a location where we had to walk another two miles to our hotel. A water taxi would have been 50 Euros for two people. Then we discovered no water taxis available due to a political presentation by a Ambassador so security would not allow any taxis to dock to pick up passengers or depart. This whole scenario was unacceptable. I am requesting a full refund. Never again!

The boat was certainly not anything like the promotional photo- it was more like a public ferry. Hardly any commentary from the guide Oversold and under delivered

Beautiful trip to all islands. Guide was very informative. Would recommend it to all Murano glass is beautiful. Burano island was so colorful

CharityRae_C

We enjoyed each island very much, we just wish we got more time on each Island to explore. We felt very rushed.

Lise H

Loved seeing the glass-blowing demo, checking out the shops in Burano and Murano, and enjoying the quiet naturalism of Torcello. There was ample free time to explore on our own.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and was very patient in answering to any questions. Worth spending the money on the tour.

This multi language tour is a nice way to see the outlying islands of Venice on a budget. On the ferry the tour guide explained different aspects of our trip and was very informative. We stopped at Murano and had a glass blowing demonstration- by far the highlight of our trip. Afterwards you can purchase in their store. At Burano you have time for lunch and sightseeing of the church and the lace making museum. And lastly the oldest church of Venice on Torcello. Overall it was a great trip- just a bit confusing on how to redeem our tickets for the ferry.

This is mostly a handy tour for transportation. The demo at the glass factory is cool but quite short. We were unable to hear properly nor understand any of the commentary offered on the boat because the sound system was pretty bad. Beware that if you are late coming back to the rally point after each stop, the boat will leave without you, that's good to know in advance. I would suggest the organisers a longer stay in Burano so visitors can both eat lunch AND wander around, and shorten the stay on Torcello where there is not much to see really (we went into the church, which was nice, but it's a very short visit anyway)
