I had a fantastic day riding with tour guide Mauro on a warm and sunny day in early September 2023. I selected a Ducati Scrambler 800, which was the perfect bike for this ride, plenty of power and nimble enough for the corners and hills. The bike was in excellent condition. We rode into the mountains from the city of Como, and reached the border of Italy and Switzerland. Stopping for views of Lake Lugano which was nothing short of breathtaking, we then had a delightful lakeside lunch nearby. After continuing back down to Lake Como, we took a ferry to Bellagio and then rode along the Lake back to Como. Total ride time was a little over 6 hours with a couple of breaks for a coffee, lunch and taking in the amazing views around the lake. Mauro obviously knows the area around Lake Como extremely well and the route we took was well planned and provided many visual and riding highlights. If you want a fantastic day riding in the mountains and around Lake Como, I would highly recommend tours with Mauro at Lake Como Motorbike. If I'm anywhere near there in future, I will be taking another ride with him.

If you’re into your bikes and you love beautiful scenery look no further and take a tour or two with Mauro. I couldn’t decide which tour to do when I was looking into booking so I decided to do both! That was the best decision ever as each tour was very different but equally great. I chose a Ducati Scrambler which was a great bike, not too heavy but plenty quick enough. In no time I was flying round hairpin corners taking in the awesome scenery. I felt totally confident riding with Mauro and he’s a great judge of riding ability and adjusted accordingly to my riding skills. I can honestly say I learnt a lot about riding in those two days which has without doubt improved my skills back home on my Moto Guzzi V7. We even made it to the Moto Guzzi factory for the obligatory photo at the gates! His knowledge of non touristy roads that you would never find on your own is amazing which just adds to the whole experience. Stopping off to eat great local food in lovely places was a real highlight and with Mauro’s expert local knowledge he knows all the best places to go. I’d definitely come back and do it all again in a heart beat, it was a definite tick on the old bucket list for my 50th birthday present, to myself. Solo traveler. Best experience. I am a solo traveler. And had a wonderful safe and comfortable adventure riding the roads of lake como. He was driver and i passenger. Another 2 joined on the bike behind. I had never ridden a motorbike before!! We had a true blast. Definitely recommended way to see all of lake como. Mauro is lovely.

Mauro was a gentleman and he took care of us well. He has great patience and is always checking on us to make sure we are okay. We had many nice conversations, great views of Lake Como. Food and coffee was great and mauro was a great host to us! We wanted to book Swiss Alps tour but the season have not started.. That was how much we enjoyed our time with him. Try it for a non-touristy experience at Lake Como and it is definetely great time spent :)

I had the most amazing experience possible on a motorcycle. This adventure fulfilled one of my greatest dreams in life, to ride in the Alps. Mauro, my leader and guide, was the finestest of gentleman and took care of all the details needed. The equipment was the best in the world and performed flawlessly. I cannot believe how organized and easy it was to receive a guided tour in the best motorcycle country in the world. I traveled all the way from Hawaii and this ride was worth every mile of the journey. Mauro kept things challenging but safe and under control with his talent and patience.

We contacted Mauro with fairly short notice and were able to book just a couple days in advance for the tour around Lake Como. Everything provided for the trip including the experience was excellent. The Ducati Scrambler was perfect for the twisty roads. Conversation with Mauro was easy and the coffee and food at our stops were delicious. Riding was Safe, fun and beautiful. Totally worth it. I hope for a round 2 in the Alps in the future.

We just returned from a week in Italy (Lake Como and Cinque Terre), and the day spent with Mauro riding motorcycles around Lake Como was truly one of the highlights for us! It was a gorgeous fall day, and we had the best time seeing so much of the area with Mauro leading the way. He is great company and easy to talk to, patient with the many questions I had about the area. We very highly recommend this experience and even hope to go back again for the Tuscany tour he is planning.

Mario is absolutely incredible! The tour we went on was so beautiful. He’s super safe and rides so relaxed! Every point we stopped were beautiful! Coffee, lunch.. you name it! It’s the best way to see Lake Como and the surroundings if u are a biker! Strongly recommended! Very worth it!

What a great day out on the Ducati scrambles , Mauro was a great guide around lake Como and to lake lago , lunch was excellent, a must if you are a keen biker or not view that you would not see if you did not have Mauro, would do again

The absolute highlight of my Italian trip. Coffee, mountains, lakes and pasta. Oh wait I forgot something- DUCATI!!! What could be more Italian than crossing lake como to Bellagio on a boat carrying a red Ducati Monster? Mauro quickly adapted his pace to mine as we wound up the countless hairpin bends through cute Italian villages with views to die for. On my death bed one day this will be top 10 experiences. Again. Soon.
