Centro Storico

The guided tour will start in front of the Trullo Sovrano house-museum, a two-storey Trullo, where to experience the Apulian traditions of the past. We'll have the opportunity to figure out how trulli have been built. (Ticket not included). Then we'll stop in front of the Basilica of Saints Cosma and Damiano, patron saints of the town, to know about their worship origins. After passing through the modern part of the town, we will enjoy the best fairytale landscape from the panoramic terrace of the Belvedere. A stop is provided in Rione Aia Piccola district, one of the most picturesque areas of the historical centre of Alberobello, where to enjoy the atmosphere of the time past. The tour will end exploring the tourist area of Rione Monti district, characterized by souvenir shops and restaurants located in the trulli, and we'll have a look of the St. Anthony Church, a typical trullo-shaped church. Finally in a trullo shop you will be offered some typical Apulian products such as extra-virgin olive oil, salty and sweet taralli...

We visited Alberobello for this walking tour on a recent trip with 7 of family and friends. Our guide was lovely, and give us a great feeling for the history, and also took us to some great vantage points to get the best views of this fabulous place! The tour finished with a tasting of some typical local treats and liquors, which was delicious! She was also kind to recommend some restaurants for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyable!!!

I like the museum how preserved everything looked you could get a good feel for their way of life ages ago. Learning about the city and how things are built was very interesting. We had a very nice tour guide. She was informative and prompt!

Touring through Alberobello with our private guide, Valeria, was fantastic. Valeria took us to different parts of Alberobello, starting with the quieter residential area and then ending in the more "touristy" area. We preferred the earlier part of the tour because we were able to wander up and down quiet streets as Valeria explained the history and construction of the Trulli houses and how they are being restored. The touristy area was very busy and didn't evoke the same feelings as we had in the quieter area. We had a tasting of local foods without any pressure to purchase anything. Valeria was great and even recommended a couple of places for lunch. She was an outstanding guide. Highly recommended!

Valeria was an amazing guide. Personable, friendly, informative and great at explaining the history of the Trulli’s and Alberobello. The tour ended with local snacks, wine and liqueurs. The shop owners were inviting and very friendly. Would highly recommend booking this tour of the city.
