Despite the almost incessant rain, Thomas remained enthusiastic and energetic. We got to see a lot of sights with commentary. Also, he provided us with the address of a really charming neighbourhood restaurant off the beaten track. Thank you, Thomas.

It was a good introduction to Trastevere in Rome by a local. Leonardo is enthusiastic & knowledgeable about Roman history & culture. We learned about interesting places to visit that are not frequented by crowds of tourists. Leonardo was flexible to meet us at our guest house instead of original meeting point. Much recommended!

Paola is truly authentic and just like one expects a Roman to be! Best way to explore Rome, the rush is somewhat part of the Rome vibe.

Elena met us at our hotel, tailored the tour to our interests. She had many interesting stories to share about the city’s history and that of its monuments. She had great suggestions for us going forward for the rest of our stay and found us a fabulous place to have an authentic meal, away from the throngs of (other) tourists. Grazie Elena.

Gabriele was a lot of fun. He was high energy and he was patient and kind with our family which was a large group. Sometimes needed to be a bit more assertive to get control of us. Overall I would say he is perfect for couples and small groups. Gabriele gave us a great tour and really showed his heart and passion for the city. He is also a really cool guy and really cared that we have a good time and enjoyed his city. Thanks Gabriele.

My granddaughter and I hired Sara as our guide. She was wonderful! She customized our tour to show us things we were interested in. She knew the shortcuts, small back streets and history of Rome. She even took us to her favorite gelatoria founded in 1915 and bought us gelato! Do not hesitate to use Sara as your guide! This was in May 2019.

For me and my wife's first visit to Rome, we decided we needed an expert to help us get our bearings straight as we kicked off our visit. Alina shared both the history and the current culture while we visited some of the major attractions and strolled the labyrinth of medieval streets around the Centro Storico. We all got in sync right away, and it was truly like connecting with an old friend. On a personal note, Alina is a fascinating woman and it was a real pleasure getting to know her a bit. Our time together was educational, enjoyable and intimate. Thanks Alina, for sharing Rome with us!!

Elena is absolutely great. We spent 3 and a half hours with her, and it was full of information all through the Trastevere tour. She was a last minute replacement for Roberta but we love Hélène, and if You have the chance, take her she is full or knowledge and willing to share it with us. Great!2018-05

This was a perfect way to spend Sunday afternoon n Rome! Alina was warm & engaging - so well studied in history. It was as if I’d called a friend & Rome and asked “can you show me around?” Very responsive to my messages and helped adapt the schedule to see specific sites but also showed my one of the most perfect views I’d ever seen. Delicious pizza stop - so good! Don’t hesitate to contact Alina when you’re planning your tours With Locals!
