Tour guide was informative. If you want a quick get away from the city this is the tour for you. Left at nine was back by one. This place is great and so close to Rome. A little short but well worth it.

The three of us truly enjoyed our private tour of Ostia with Ferdinando. Ostia is as impressive a site as Pompei and Herculaneum in many ways. And Ferdinando is an awesome and informative guide -- highly reccomend!

Answered every question I had (I’m a biblical scholar- and he knew every detail I asked about). He was great at communicating before the trip, adjusted it to my needs, was thoughtful, and professional. Ferdinando helps you envision what life would’ve been like 2000 years ago, and took the time to provide lots of extra maps and illustrations which really brought the experience to life. In addition, he’s a great guy! can’t imagine a better guide!

My son's chose a trip to Italy to see the Roman ruins as his high school graduation gift. When I told him we would get a private tour of Ostia Antica with an archeologist he was thrilled. Very few tour guides could have lived up to his expectations, but Ferdinando was amazing and exceed them. If we saw an inscription on a piece of marble he would translate it for us. He has worked the excavation himself and told us not only about the history, in fabulous detail, but about excavation and preservation techniques used over the years. Plus it was his birthday!

Three of us booked a tour with Ferdinando and it was well worth it. He met us at train station and accompanied us to Ostia Antica. Once there we were completely absorbed by all he had to say. Ferdinando has a great depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for his subject and this made Ostia Antica a highlight of our time in Rome. Highly Recommended. Many thanks, Ferdinando

A group of romans looking for something extra, not just the usual guide (we are very very pretentious) eventually finds Ferdinando. The way he describes things is unusual and amazing, leading you trough history and arts and focus everything behind the first sight. don't miss the chance to experience this visit with Ferdinando.

We had a fabulous tour of the ancient port of Rome with Ferdinando. His knowledge of the area was incredible. He spoke fluent English and his professionalism, enthusiasm and personality made our tour fun and interesting. Everything was well organized, from the moment we left our hotel lobby until we returned later that day. Ferdinando managed our time with him perfectly, allowing us to experience a large part of the ruins. Throughout the tour we were offered options as to which areas we would like to explore in Ostia in more depth. This tour was a highlight of our recent trip to Rome. Highly recommended. Thank you, Ferdinando

Ferdinando was incredibly accommodating in organising this tour for my elderly parents who had struggled with the pace of other tours. With only 3 days notice he managed to find a wonderful guide (Alessia) who as well as being extremely knowledgeable allowed my parents to enjoy Ostia at their own pace without missing out on anything. It was the highlight of their Roman holiday.

Ostia Antica es una maravilla de lugar. Comparable a Pompeya. Una visita al pasado extraordinaria. Una ciudad-puerto que nos muestra, nítidamente, cómo fue el estilo de vida romano en su apogeo: comercial, cultural, social. Es un visita imperdible en cualquier viaje a Roma.
