Paola was great. We did the 10 course tasting and were very full. The foods we ate were things I would not have known to order. It’s a lot of walking an eating on the go, but that was ok for us. We saw a couple different neighborhoods and visited a beautiful church as well.

Brilliant tour with Simone - a very friendly, knowledgable and passionate Roman. Great tour - picking the best little street food places around the town - particular favorites were the traditional Roman pizza and porchetta! Simone is a man of many talents (food, history and sports/football!) - kept the kids very entertained throughout the tour. A great afternoon. Thank You.

Being with Claudia on our 10 Tastings of Rome tour was the highlight of our trip. We felt like we were with an old friend meeting for a bite to eat or have a cup of coffee. All of her selections were outstanding and we enjoyed her company, I’d go again!

We had a lovely time with the guide and the foods that he exposed us to. Everything was tasty and it is always wonderful to learn about a culture through their foods. Definitely do this tour!

Excellent tour our first day in Roma with Francesca. Not only could we not have found these places, we would not have known what to try. Loved our first stop in the market… to see all the fresh ingredients, and also taste numerous products, which, of course, we were compelled to then purchase.(definitely not due to any sales pressure) this was followed by a lot of eating. Do not eat ahead of the time of your tour!

Our family had lots of fun walking around Rome with Claudio, and getting a taste of true Roman foods. Fresh fruits at the market, hi Pizza at the Forno to local beer and wine, the most delicious cannoli and gelate, and an outstanding taste of porchetta and local cured meats, we loved every bite! Claudio has a kind, welcoming, easy-going personality, and was happy to recommend restaurants (he even called to make a reservation for us for the next) and show us some of the other historic sites, including beautiful churches, and Piazzas that he explained to us as well. Thank you Claudio for sharing your Rome with us!

We had such a wonderful evening with Eleonora. She is so knowledgeable about the area and is clearly well-loved at all the food places we stopped at. It was really magical walking the streets as darkness fell, knowing that we were in good hands. The food was incredible - come hungry! This was our first day in Rome and now we have lots of lovely places to return to. Thank you Eleonora!

The End point of the tour you advertise as being the same as it the meeting point - this didn’t happen we were left at the ice cream store miles away You advertise a stop off at a Church in Trastevere this didn’t happen You advertise food and drink - we were only given one drink - we had one coffee (with a cannoli not as a separate dish or tasting) we had no other drinks offered and we only got a bottle of water late on the tour because I asked as I was feeling dehydrated You advertise So many traveler’s photos showing tastings and drinks we didn’t have - after our experience we now wonder if these are actually real or not.. We had no wine, no Prosecco, no tiramisu, no fried courgette, no porchetta, no pizza, no cream cake - all things that Rome is famous for and we were looking forward to trying The portion sizes were tiny of the meat and cheese We were so disappointed we had to go for a lunch meal straight after this tour - luckily we had a spare hour as the tour shouldn’t have finished at 2pm (should have been 3pm) The guide left us stood in a doorway for 20 mins - Had to sit on floor in doorsteps of people’s property Only got to sit and enjoy food once on the tour the rest of the time was hovering in shop doorways or on the streets - very uncomfortable The guide talked continuously about himself No real Roman history given The reply you sent is ridiculous in response to our complaint - as below copied and pasted from you reply on 24th march at 13.47 this is what u claim we had “10” tastings 1. Buffalo and Mozzarella Pizza 2. Cannoli Siciliani 3. Coffee and Tea 4. Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino Romano 5. Prosciutto di Parma 6. Corallina Umbra Salami and Olives 7. Pasta Amatriciana 8. Suppli 9. Sparkling and Still Water 10. Salty Caramel and Mango Gelato To reply this is what actually happened : 1. Some bread from a shop 2. 2nd stop 20 yards away a small piece of mozzarella to share afterwards (no drink offered) 3. One single mini cannoli- (the only time we got to sit down) served with a coffee - he had his own drink here 4. In one shop (stood again and no drink) a plate of one piece of salami each; one piece of ham each and a small piece of parmigiana and pecorino - all the olives the tour guide ate himself 5. In one shop - a single Supli to share - stood on street for another 20 mins at this same shop waiting for a tiny taste of pasta each - had to sit down on the dirty floor doorway in the end outside someone’s property who had to ask me to move anyway as of course blocking his entry (embarrassing) 6. An ice cream that was of poor quality compared to others we tasted in Italy You told us when we complained that the 3 hour advertised tour only lasted for 2 hours - you had the cheek to tell us it was our fault because we were ONLY 3 minutes late - we kept calling the guide numerous times at the statue meeting point who wasn’t answering as he was on his phone chatting to his friend instead of keeping phone clear for us I think the thing that has really upset us is the responses from this company delivering the tour after we complained - they are blatantly lying about the truth of the matter - no apology and no acknowledgment or accountability that they miss sold this tour We have used Viator many times before on city tours and did a very similar food and drink tour in Venice last year which exceeded expectations so we are very aware how poor to is was in comparison I have a tour booked with you coming up in May in Tangier and I am now seriously considering moving this trip to a different company.

Where do I begin … The End point of the tour you advertise as being the same as it the meeting point - this didn’t happen we were left at the ice cream store which is stop no 4 on your itinerary You advertise a stop off at a Church in Trastevere this didn’t happen You advertise food and drink - we were only given one drink - which was one coffee (with a cannoli not as a separate dish or tasting) we had no other drinks offered and we only got a bottle of water late on the tour because I asked as I was feeling dehydrated - we have done this tour in Venice and we were very well fad and watered. You advertise So many traveler’s photos showing tastings and drinks we didn’t have - after our experience we now wonder if these are actually real or not.. We had no wine, no Prosecco, no tiramisu, no fried courgette, no porchetta, no pizza, no cream cake - all things that Rome is famous for and we were looking forward to trying The portion sizes were tiny of the meat and cheese We were so disappointed we had to go for a lunch meal straight after this tour - luckily we had a spare hour as the tour shouldn’t have finished at 2pm (should have been 3pm) The tour guide Maurizio left us stood in a doorway for 20 mins while he went into get us some pasta leaving us having to sit on floor in doorsteps of people’s property as no tables or chairs at this shop We Only got to sit and enjoy food once, the rest of the time was hovering in shop doorways or on the streets - very uncomfortable We were supposed to have Valentina (who was sadly unwell last minute) who contacted us ahead of time twice - we had to chase this man Maurizio up ourselves He very much talked continuously about himself as a failed musician and his kids he doesn’t see now in England No real Roman history was given and all the “stops “ you advertise were not all used When we complained The reply you sent is a ridiculous version of the food tour - as below copied and pasted from you reply on 24th march at 13.47 1. Buffalo and Mozzarella Pizza 2. Cannoli Siciliani 3. Coffee and Tea 4. Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino Romano 5. Prosciutto di Parma 6. Corallina Umbra Salami and Olives 7. Pasta Amatriciana 8. Suppli 9. Sparkling and Still Water 10. Salty Caramel and Mango Gelato This is what actually happened : 1. Some bread from a shop 2. 2nd stop 20 yards away a small piece of mozzarella to share afterwards (no drink offered) 3. One single mini cannoli- (the only time we got to sit down) served with a coffee - he had his own drink here 4. In one shop (stood again and no drink) a plate of one piece of salami each; one piece of ham each and a small piece of parmigiana and pecorino - all the olives the tour guide ate himself - SO where he has stated there were tastings 4-7 in fact the truth was this was one shop and one small plate of food … JOKE 5. An ice cream that was of poor quality compared to others we tasted in Italy When we complained the tour was only 2 hours instead of the advertised 3 hours, you told us it was cut short as we were late !!…. We were ONLY 3 minutes late - we kept calling the guide numerous times at the statue meeting point who wasn’t answering as he was on his phone chatting to his friend instead of keeping phone clear for us I think the thing that has really upset us is the responses from you - blatantly lying about the truth of the matter - you have refused to refund us and also refused to acknowledge the facts as we have detailed over again We have used Viator many times before on city tours and did a very similar food and drink tour in Venice last year which exceeded expectations so we are very aware how poor to is was in comparison I have a tour booked with you coming up in May in Tangier and I am now seriously considering moving this trip to a different company.
